We always mark Eid al-Fitr with a family meal celebration. There is a significant difference in the menu between Eid at the parents' house (usually on the first day) and at Rumah Kata (usually on the second day). Eid at Rumah Kata usually serves non-coconut milk menus, such as bakwan Malang, grilled chicken and pasta. Of course, it's still accompanied by Eid cookies.
Even though the dining room and kitchen at Rumah Kata only measure 3 x 4 meters, fortunately it is still enough to accommodate a family. The method? Of course, by moving the dining chairs into the living room. 😉 Alhamdulillah..
