Open shelving creates so many possibilities for showcasing both utilitarian and decorative ceramics - the bowls and plates I use on a daily basis accented by vessels in a range of matte finishes. Lately, I’ve also been into the organic, slightly uneven Wabi Sabi look of sea glass. The three glass vases along the top ledge catch light perfectly. This past December I also bought the abstract oil painting on the top ledge. I love the interplay of the painting with the pendant lights and all the geometric forms in this part of my apartment.
