The design of this house was assisted by an architect in designing it. Because this is the first house construction, we are very unfamiliar with construction and materials. With the design from the architect, we were greatly helped by the detailed working drawings and also the RAB. We only use the services of an architect in the design, we handle everything else, like craftsmen. We do not use the services of a contractor, we use the services of a journeyman by looking at the guidelines/work drawings from the Architect. Actually, it would be even better if you used a contractor, but as long as the journeyman can read drawings, it's not a problem.
