Our living room area has a minimalist and clean concept. We don't decorate much in this area, because the living room area is an area close to the main door which is very easy for dust to enter. The most important thing in designing this area is our comfort and ease in maintaining cleanliness. We tried to make the ambiance of the living room feel warmer by using wood vinyl flooring and using wooden screens to cover the large windows in this area. Almost all of the furniture we use in this area is IKEA brand. We deliberately used dark gray sofa covers because the living room area sometimes becomes our children's play area. So choosing this gray color can minimize stains from toys or dust. Apart from that, there are handmade carpets from Nagarey which are suitable to be combined with our furniture. Our living room area at night. Our living room area has 2 types of lights. We use Philips Dowlight White and Warm White. At night, we more often use warm white downlights. We use this living room area as a place to gather or watch TV. At night, the warm white downlight makes our eyes more comfortable when watching TV at night. When choosing lights in each area of the house, make sure the furniture plan matches the light point plan. Our living room area is a combination of wood, white and ash colors. The sofa we use is a sofa from IKEA KIVIK which we bought 4 years ago in cream color. Our old sofa, the cover has lots of stains that are difficult to clean, marker/crayon marks from our children and the fabric has lots of holes. We just replaced the cover with dark gray, and added an ottoman in the same color. We also repainted the legs of the IKEA NOLMYRA chair. We got this chair from our family's inheritance.
