Everything I prayed for a long time for my dream kitchen version, thank God, has been realized. One of them is using an IKEA kitchen set. I have always wanted to have a kitchen set that is up to the ceiling. Then there is a skylight in the kitchen area and has a kitchen island. I really don't want to force it, especially for the kitchen island, if I didn't think about expanding the kitchen, maybe having a kitchen island is unlikely. Because we don't want to "force" it if the space doesn't allow it. But it turns out that my husband allowed me to expand the kitchen by taking the existing living room area, so the kitchen area becomes wider. For the IKEA kitchen set, I am very satisfied. I have been using the IKEA kitchen set since 2018 in my existing kitchen, using the same type and color. In my opinion, with white cabinets, it is easier to keep clean and I don't worry about it becoming streaky like other colors if scrubbed too vigorously. For the kitchen island itself, the top table uses Carrara Marble which I finally regretted. Deliberately made lots of cabinets in the kitchen to store things, because this house lacks storage space. So actually, this kitchen set doesn't just store kitchen items. The colorful accents from the pans are the focal point in this kitchen, and I deliberately placed them on the kitchen shelf to make it easier to retrieve and store because these pans are used every day. Apart from the kitchen as the main decoration in this kitchen, the next decoration choice here is the carpet. I periodically change the carpet in the kitchen to change the atmosphere. If we talk about our favorite room in this house, it's definitely the kitchen area. Most of my time is always in the kitchen. Whether it's cooking, baking, drinking coffee, gossiping or just taking photos and videos for content 😂😂😂. Yesterday's renovation was the kitchen that had the most major renovation. We expanded from 3x3m to 6x6m. And I made a simple and neat cabinet in shades of white without any accents to make it look minimalist and sleek. What is displayed on the kitchen table, kitchen shelf or kitchen island are only objects that are used every day. Meanwhile, objects that are not used on a daily basis are stored neatly in the cabinet. My favorite item in the kitchen is cooking utensils, which I buy in installments one by one. Hahaha...cast iron pans, which are versatile, can be used for cooking anything, and are also kitchen accessories because of their fresh colors. Apart from that, a standing mixer, because I bake most often. Kitchen sets and kitchen islands are also my favorites, because I invested thought and money in this kitchen. Finally dared to open the kitchen cabinets. Actually, the inside is just standard, just shelves. A bit embarrassed because it's messy. I want it to be organized neatly with neat boxes like other people, but never mind, if it's closed, you can't see the sins 😜. As long as everyone has their own house, God willing, it will look neat. Let's just dissect the sink area first. Slide 1 The entire cabinet view Slide 2 & 3 The cabinet under the sink, contains 2 drawers for kitchen necessities, and a trash can Slide 4 The lower cabinet to the left of the sink, contains an IKEA UTRUSTA manual dish drying rack, so when you're done washing dishes, put them down here. The bottom shelf is for holding water, it can be pulled out. Previously, this drying rack was positioned in the upper cabinet, but because it was high for the kids, I moved it down. Slide 5 The lower cabinet to the right of the sink. The upper shelf has a sterilizer/dish dryer for plates and glasses. It is intentionally designed to be placed next to the bottom of the sink, and there is already an electrical point in the cabinet. The lower shelf is for rice and cooking spices. Slide 6 The pot that is occasionally used, is positioned next to the manual dish drying rack. Slide 7 IKEA BEKVAM ladder to take things in the upper cabinet Slide 8 The upper cabinet, filled with plates and glasses. This was originally the position for the UTRUSTA manual dish drying rack.
