Our 1890s shingle Victorian is in the midst of her glow-up! We’ve remodeled and designed homes before, but this one is our biggest project yet. Every single room needs an overhaul – at the very least, paint, but most need much more than that. So far we have completed three rooms - the living room, the laundry room, and an extra bedroom. We are currently in the middle of our kitchen remodel, so that will make four! One thing is for certain – we are not turning this detailed beauty into a cookie-cutter new build. Area rugs are the best way to pull a room together. I use them to add texture, color, and/or pattern, depending on what the space is lacking. I typically buy them on sale or at outlets to save money since rugs can get expensive.
