✨[Almost] Dream Kitchen: Materials This kitchen area is the result of our own renovation. Unlike the front area which uses materials provided by the developer, in this back area we can explore the choice of materials according to our taste. This kitchen area takes the theme of white and wood but due to budget constraints, we finally chose to build a kitchen with a cast system. But we still chose materials that make our cast kitchen look more aesthetic. The shape is U-shaped with a cooking area, sink and dining area. For the sink area, we deliberately chose a deep sink so that it can accommodate more plates. We chose stainless steel material so that it is easier to maintain. The sink also comes with a built-in soap dish. But for the faucet, we bought it separately because we wanted a matte black sink faucet that matches the theme of the house. ✨ For the floor and kitchen table top, we use wood motif ceramics. While the backsplash uses white subway tiles. ✨ Kitchen Set (this is the only one that is not 100% according to our wishes). For the upper kitchen set, we use a combination of ready-made kitchen set cabinets and shelves (not custom). While for the lower kitchen set, the plan is to custom the cabinets. ✨Gallery Wall The hallway in front of the bathroom is actually a connecting area between the living room & kitchen. To utilize the space, we tried to decorate it like a gallery wall full of memorable photos. To make the area under the wall more useful, we added a cabinet that was the right size. So that in this 1 area there is a lot of useful storage. We use this for storing eating utensils & grocery stock. ✨Maximizing the Developer Standard Layout Having a house with a standard layout made us finally choose an open space concept to make it look more spacious. We were inspired a lot by the #japandi and #Apartemenkorea style house layouts, which even though the area is small still look spacious & airy. To make it look more like one unit, for decoration choose neutral colors with a combination of white, black and wood. ✨ Spill Living Room Wall Decoration Our living room wall is now more minimalist with wall molding decoration. Previously, we decorated the wall with photo frames (see slide 2). But because we wanted a cleaner look, we decided to move the photo frames to the hallway area and decorate the wall with molding decoration. We chose wood molding because it is more durable and the price is quite affordable. For the finishing, we use white paint that matches the color of the house paint so that the wall molding looks more integrated with the living room area.
