✨ Laundry Room ✨ The workspace for mothers besides the kitchen 😂 It is located right across from the bedroom, so it is part of the backyard. So if you open the big door in the room, you can laze around looking at the garden while looking at the clothesline 🤣 The size is only about 160x160 cm, not too wide, but it is enough to accommodate the washing machine and the drying area. Still with a neutral white-gray-black-wood color theme and embellished with living plants, so that it looks integrated with the backyard, it's just a shame that this washing machine has blue in it 🤣 I covered the body of the washing machine with gray wood motif wallpaper to match, because the original white color has turned yellow because it's been more than 9 years. Here, I also use shelves to put soap bottles and storage, because there used to be a standing shelf but it became narrow, finally we used the wall for shelves only. 🌸 Simply White Aesthetic 🌸 Finally the facade and terrace area of my house changed color ✨ I wanted to change it to a cute color, but I was afraid of getting bored easily, so I finally decided to paint everything white. The walls, ceiling, door, small terrace, and fence are all white. I chose white to make it simpler and cleaner, although it will be a bit extra to maintain it later 😅 Repainting this front area has indeed been budgeted for maintenance every 3 years, because if you dare to have a house, you must dare to have a special fund for its maintenance 💸 Then I also made a mudroom in front of the door so that shoes and jackets are neat and don't need to be brought inside, because they are dirty. I used a simple shoe rack made of wood with a light wood color, then I added hooks to hang jackets and helmets so they don't get messy. Now I also match the color of the cleaning furniture, so that when hung like this it looks neat and harmonious. 🔆 Small changes, big impact 🔆 The changes to my laundry room weren't actually that big, but it turned out to have a really different vibe. Just changing the wall paint to white all over and adding white boxes for storage turned out to have quite a big impact on this laundry room. It used to look darker and less matching in color, now it blends in with its surroundings so it doesn't bother the eye. 🔆 Simple Entry Way 🔆 The entry way or terrace area should not have too many items or decorations because there must be an area for cars to enter and exit the carport. Because my house is in an alley, so I have to be smart in making a terrace and carport that are functional, spacious, with minimal items, but still beautiful. To liven up this area, I planted living trees such as palms and sansivera or mother-in-law's tongue; which can also function as air filters. 🔆 Favorite Moment 🔆 I used to really want to have a house with a backyard, because I wanted to ground myself, sunbathe, play with my kids, without having to be seen by my neighbors, you know, I'm a die-hard introvert 🥹 Then now it's come true ✨ I named this backyard as my favorite place in the house. It just so happens that this backyard is directly connected to 3 areas at once; the main room, laundry room, and kitchen, and you can even chat on the 2nd floor from the windows of the children's room and the TV room, it really is the center of view in the house. So, in this backyard I can multitask playing with my kids, while occasionally checking to see if the food is cooked or getting breakfast, washing clothes, or lying on the bed while watching the kids play, even chatting with my older sibling on the 2nd floor from the window of his room. Here I use synthetic grass to make it cleaner and low maintenance, because the previous live grass never grew optimally. Early in the morning, playing with my kids, sunbathing and enjoying breakfast are my favorite moments in this house.
