While a home café is great, a warm tea ceremony is also a must. The long-used Jashaho tea set brings a beautiful fragrance, color, and a sense of calm.
To briefly explain:
Tea utensils typically consist of a tea plate, a tea bowl, a tea bowl, a tea cup, a tea leaf container, and a tea bag.
Preheat the tea bowl with warm water, rinse (wash and discard the tea leaves), and then pour them into the tea plate or bowl (the large bowl shown in the photo). 🍵
The tea steeped in the tea pot is then placed on a strainer, poured into a tea server, and served in a cup.
There are many different tea utensils, but one particularly interesting tool is the chachong. These chachongs are ornaments shaped like various animals or figures, each with a symbolic meaning. They are placed next to you while you drink tea, like a friend, and are used to tame the remaining tea. Aren't they adorable?
I don't have a separate tea bowl, but Ropa Seoul's Siamese cat is my friend during tea time😌
