I am a single woman in her thirties living in Brooklyn, NY. I’m a communications exec and love to cook, read, and watch interesting foreign (non-American) content on Netflix (telenovelas and K-dramas are my favorite)! I moved into my current apartment in early 2022 after living with a roommate during COVID. Originally, I was looking for a one-bedroom with a washer/dryer (those who live in NYC understand how rare it is to find one in-unit!) and was pleasantly surprised to find a 2-bedroom apartment in my budget! I use the second bedroom as an office/gym (with a Peloton that sadly is collecting dust).

Inside a minimalist's black & white 1375 sq ft townhouseOur home is a side-by-side duplex, a multi-family home consisting of two separate units built as a single dwelling with three floors and an area of 1,375 square feet, excluding the garage and closets. As it was a newly built home, we chose not to make any structural changes. We got to pick whichever flooring color we wanted at no extra cost before the floor was laid. We chose dark gray-washed tiles throughout the house, including the second floor stairs and the whole third floor, which had previously been carpeted. The black-toned marble in the kitchen was changed to more of a solid white color, and the staircase and walls were also painted white before we moved in. 1F: Entryway

The building boasts charming architectural details, including a central pond and fountain. Our apartment features beautiful original hardwood floors and stunning views of the East River and Williamsburg Bridge.
