Custom-made living room rug
It's difficult to get a ready-made rug that fits perfectly on my down floor, so I found Lucent Mart on Yahoo Shopping.
I was excited to be able to choose from Toli rugs (they even sent me fabric samples for free), and I could customize not only the size but also the shape and even the border color. 💭
I chose a kamaboko-shaped rug with a rounded edge on one side and changed the border color to black. I received samples of fabrics ranging from affordable ones I liked the look of to 100% wool, which I'd always dreamed of. I wasn't expecting much from the lower price, but I was drawn to the soft texture and luxurious appearance. I was also surprised that they could make custom wool rugs at this price, so I went with wool this time. But they were all so cute, so I'd love to make one in the fabrics I didn't choose this time someday.

Our first home
Delivered in July 2023. The plan to build a house began about six years ago, when we first began imagining a "vintage furniture museum"—a place where the furniture would take center stage, a little different from a hotel-like feel. We focused on the vintage furniture we'd collected while living in an apartment.
The solid wood flooring was stained dark brown to match the furniture we'd collected, the wallpaper was painted to create a textured look when light hit it, and the color was white to highlight the furniture. Since lounging around rather than sitting on the sofa suits our home, we requested a downstairs living space. The kitchen was hidden to allow the furniture to take center stage, and a utility room was created...
Once we moved in, the home's character inevitably came out, so we shifted our image slightly to a "liveable hotel where you can enjoy vintage furniture" and started enjoying the interior design.
