On Nakamachi Street in Matsumoto City, there is a shop called ``Chikiriya'' that sells folk crafts from all over Japan. One day, when I was about to buy two of the same plate, the owner's grandmother told me, ``It's better to have different plates, even if they are the same size. It's more interesting if they are all different.'' That really sticks in my mind. Since then, I have been trying not to unify them.
