The kitchen is hidden, and the appliances are in the utility room at the back. We intentionally avoided connecting it to the living room, creating a space with a slightly secluded feel. You can concentrate on cooking, make something with the kids, or sneak in a snack in the utility room. To the right of the utility room is a refrigerator and built-in shelves (for bread boxes, fruit, coffee and tea supplies, snacks, etc.). To the left is a rice cooker, oven, toaster, and coffee machine (we'll be buying one soon). My parents' kitchen had a waist-high wall, and when I was little, my job was to carry the food lined up on top of it to the dining room. A hidden kitchen for enjoying personal time An island would be nice and spacious, but being visible would have led to more and more details, which would have significantly increased costs. And most importantly, I wanted to hide the kitchen-like appliances and make the living room the focal point of the second floor. The utility room, where the appliances are kept, is a place to enjoy a little alone time, even when the family is around, or sneak in a snack. lol Since the living room is modern, I use this space to display a variety of things I like. I'd like to eventually put a coffee machine in there and make it like a little cafe.
