The Story Behind Our Home - JEANHOUSE
This house started from what used to be an old house—the first challenge we had to face. The process began two years before we got married, with the hope that it would be a comfortable first home for us to live in after getting married. One of the main reasons we chose this location was because it was next to our parents' house, so it felt like we were still close to family.
But building a house turned out to be much more complicated than we imagined. From the planning stage to the finishing, there was always new drama every day. Starting from choosing materials that matched the surrounding environment, looking for vendors who could realize our dream design, to the headache of choosing furniture and decorations that matched our style. Every decision felt like a test of patience.
Finally, after a long journey full of trial and error, this house is done! I feel relieved and proud to see the final result, although until now there are still small leaks that have not been resolved. Understandably, every house must have its own story, right?

The corridor in the house that connects the rooms, we make it dramatic. This is where there are many texture games, smooth, hole motifs, natural stone steps. Plus yellow lights that make the texture of the walls and floors in the corridor even more dramatic. ✨✨✨

⭐️Bedroom⭐️
I want a comfortable and minimalist bedroom, so as much as possible I don't put a lot of stuff/decorations to make it more comfortable. This bedroom is designed in a modern minimalist style with a built-in bed frame and a built-in side table. So I don't need to buy any more removable furniture.
For decoration, I play with bed sheet colors that match my mood, decorative pillows, carpets, and decorative lights.

One of our favorite spots in our house is the living room, chatting, watching, playing with the kids. Previously this room was very small, then we expanded it by cutting a small balcony behind the house and applying large windows.
💡tips for you;
✨ Choose a neutral and bright wall color finish so that it is easy to mix and match and gives the effect of a spacious room.
✨ Add a carpet to make it more comfortable

"Flat" is the diction we use to describe the facade #tentramdihuni does not use much color. Almost all sides use gray textured paint combined with a black canopy and fence making our house look even flatter and masculine.
To balance it we give a little sweetener with a roaster and wood motif floor and ceiling.

With textured paint, the walls look more aesthetic & have character. ♣️ 𝙄𝒏𝙙𝒐𝙤𝒓 Paint Color: to avoid monotony, for the interior we chose a combination of 𝒂𝙣𝒕𝙞𝒒𝙪𝒆 𝒘𝙝𝒊𝙩𝒆 & 𝒈𝙧𝒆𝙚𝒏 𝒇𝙤𝒈 colors that make the 𝙢𝒐𝙤𝒅 feel more 𝙘𝒂𝙡𝒎𝙞𝒏𝙜 & 𝙧𝒆𝙡𝒂𝙭𝒊𝙣𝒈.
♣️ 𝑾𝙖𝒍𝙡 𝙋𝒂𝙣𝒆𝙡𝒔: 𝙬𝒂𝙡𝒍 𝒔𝙝𝒊𝙥𝒍𝙖𝒑 𝒑𝙖𝒏𝙚𝒍𝙨 in #rumahlimut uses very affordable materials made of GRC. In addition to being pocket-friendly, this material is also durable because it is waterproof & termite resistant. ♣️ 𝑫𝙤𝒐𝙧 𝙁𝒓𝙖𝒎𝙚/𝘼𝒓𝙘𝒉𝙞𝒕𝙧𝒂𝙫𝒆: adding a wooden door frame creates the illusion of a larger/sturdier & more solid door. It is one of the shortcuts to an aesthetic interior.
