How much budget do you spend to make a kitchen set? After surveying several kitchen set vendors, the results made you shake your head, relatively expensive. Finally, we decided to make a kitchen set with some using upper cabinets and the rest we chose to use shelves. Why shelves? This small hallway-shaped kitchen in my house still has a Bold and Warm theme, we installed a kitchen set to make it tidier and have more storage because the space is limited.
We changed the backsplash color to white to make it brighter (previously black), we covered the granite table top with a wood motif wall sticker and also added vinyl flooring to make it more compact and match the color of the table top.

I never thought styling a kitchen would feel like putting together a cozy living room, but here we are. At first, I thought the kitchen was just a place to cook. But it turns out, adding a bit of personality into it makes a big difference.

Our single-row kitchen doesn't have too many appliances, the kitchen appliances that we have are really the ones we use, because we don't want to pile up useless items due to space limitations, so if you look at the kitchen, it's neat because there are only that many items.

Looking back at the beginning when we first started arranging the furniture in the kitchen & dining room, it felt really empty. But the most special thing for us from the beginning was the kitchen island and this wooden table, because it really matched the image of our dream kitchen.

Want to create a new atmosphere in the kitchen area, we added a box motif sticker to the backsplash area which previously used white brick-patterned ceramics.
With an economical price, the wallsticker is easy to install because it already has adhesive. The maintenance is also quite simple, strong and waterproof.

We want to discuss styling around the kitchen in Lolla House which I call this alley senggol..
Because of the limited space area, so we decided to add storage with a custom black kitchen set and installed it along the entire kitchen area.
We also #makeoverlowbudget by replacing the white backsplash ceramic with a minimalist motif to make it look brighter and neater.
For the decoration, we still dominated the black and wood tones to keep in tune with the kitchen theme. Kitchen equipment, decorations and furniture are usually obtained from e-commerce or home furnishing stores such as #IKEA #Informa or #AceHardware

When I moved into this house, one of the things I wanted the most was a clean & light, yet functional kitchen. That's why I chose a minimalist one-line kitchen design, paired with this special island table in the middle.
This island table is very multifunctional: preparing food, breakfast-lunch-dinner, to afternoon journaling while drinking tea. One side even has a built-in shelf for books, because why not?😄
To keep things looking clean, airy, and Pinterest-worthy (yes, even on a regular day), I deliberately didn't use the upper cabinets. Just a simple wooden shelf to display my mug collection (they had to be on display!) All the not-so-cute stuff? Stored neatly in the lower cabinets and storage in the island. Visual clutter stresses me out way too fast😅
I didn't expect that the place to cut onions could also be a place to write down thoughts, dreams, and ideas in the afternoon. That's what makes this kitchen feel extra special to me🩵

Change the looks of the top table to an affordable one but still functional & aesthetic.
💡 Finally I decided to cover the top table with a new HPL motif. The work was done quickly in 1 day.
💰 The budget I spent was 1,280,000. For the size of the top table 178 x 59 cm & 196 x 59 cm. Including the cost of the craftsman & accommodation

The kitchen is in line from the top angle, with a white backsplash and a black marble table top. For the table top, it is a leftover ceramic given by parents. And for the backsplash, it uses white ceramic with a brick motif that is exactly the same as on the bathroom wall of @nyamandiomah's house
For the stove, it uses a black glass built-in stove so that it blends seamlessly with the color of the table top. Then there is a window with a black list with white curtains that match the tone of the kitchen. The use of 1 window near the stove is to help air circulation and remove cooking odors.

After 9 years of living in this house, we were finally able to renovate our alley senggol kitchen as we wanted. Previously, our kitchen had a bold theme with black as the dominant color.
One of the frugal tricks that I use is to utilize modular furniture and open shelves, which are more affordable than custom built-ins. In addition, choosing neutral colors and durable materials makes this kitchen less boring.
I chose a kitchen table makeover with lighter wood motif stickers to give a warm touch and contrast with the black cabinets. The white ceramic backsplash with black grout is also the main choice because it is easy to clean and remains timeless.
