In addition to looking neat, with the upper and lower cabinets we can hide items that don't match in color. Here are some photos of storage spaces that we can share in our kitchen area. Greetings from the in-line kitchen at my house. From the start of building this kitchen, my husband wanted to use a cast table because it would be more durable and sturdy. To make it more aesthetic, like using a table top. I used the middling technique when installing granite tiles as the table top. With a cast table length of 2.4 m, I think it is quite functional because I don't cook large quantities. To match the theme of the house, I chose an HPL wood motif combined with white. Equipped with a kitchen island with lattice accents, it adds aesthetics and functionality as an additional preparation table as well as a dining table later. The full ceiling cabinet is very useful for storing kitchen items. Our kitchen area is 2.5x4 with a peninsula model to add a work area because the table space is narrow. The main budget for the interior was indeed spent on this kitchen because I myself like to cook and hope that many activities can be done with my family in the future in this kitchen. We designed it ourselves by taking inspiration from Pinterest and adjusting it to our size and needs. The main materials used in the cabinet are multiplex and HPL, especially for the L area table top at the stove and sink using blackgold granite so that it is more durable and not easily dirty. The HPL chosen is still around white, brown, black and gray so that it still matches the interior of the other rooms. The backsplash uses black mosaic tiles so that it is not easily dirty with a unique shape so that it adds decorative elements and a masculine impression. We chose a cabinet without a handle so that the look is simpler and cleaner. The peninsula/mini bar section also uses HPL so that it is lower budget but we made it curved and different heights in design to differentiate functions (the initial plan was for a coffee station) and circulation is more comfortable and safe for children. For the accent wall bordering the kitchen and dining area, we provide a wood panel that is not too large for the transition of the kitchen set material to the plain wall. This open space kitchen design does not use special interior design services, it only adapts to the needs and functional aspects that are prioritized, so that ornaments that are decorative in nature tend to be fewer and more used as storage and space that actually has a function. We place cutlery such as glasses and spoons because they are often used, so we place them on the bottom side of the kitchen set to make them more child friendly. For plates that are used daily, we put them in the dish washer, the rest we put on the plate rack in the upper cabinet. At the very end, we only use the Ivar shelf from Ikea as a storage area and also use it as a Coffee Corner where my husband can get creative in making coffee in the morning. Open Shelving Kitchen Since the previous kitchen which was made of HPL-coated wood was rotting, especially in the sink area & damp inside the cabinet, finally when we renovated I no longer wanted to use a wooden kitchen set. Immediately requested a kitchen table using corcoran coated with granite & iron for the kitchen set. To match the concept of the first floor, namely industrial, the color was still chosen black with a touch of wood on the backing. The wood uses open meranti wood. because this kitchen set is an open shelving model, so it is better to look at, try to always keep it neat, one of which is reducing items & using a lot of storage. For example, I chose stacked drawers to be placed at the bottom side by side with a closed storage box to reduce dust & animals, while at the top I chose rattan storage to make it more aesthetic. Make sure the color of the kitchen set and the details match in rhythm so it looks neater & nicer to look at hehhehe, I chose hexagon granite for the kitchen floor so it looks more outstanding. This kitchen is 2.3 x 3.6 m in size and is directly adjacent to the dining table.
