We chose to use a dining set made of teak wood material that has been proven to be durable and long-lasting. The table size is quite wide, namely 160x80x75, making it more flexible when eating.
In addition, the corners of the table are not made sharp to be safe for our children, so they are not easily hit by the corners of the table.
The presence of chair cushions also makes children more comfortable when sitting here.
When dirty or accidentally spilled / scribbled by children, this teak table is easy to clean. Simply spray it with a special wood cleaning fluid, then wipe it, all the dirt can be removed.

The kitchen is adjacent to the dining table and without partitions, also to the living room area, it is truly open space, there are no partitions at all. The room becomes more spacious, air circulation and light remain good, especially since we have glass folding doors that lead to the innercourt yard.

Compact kitchen tips look neat ✨
This kitchen & dining area is indeed quite compact. To make it look neat, we chose to put all the kitchen appliances and cutlery according to the cabinet.
Starting from the refrigerator, dispenser, and magic com which already have their own cabinets.
For kitchen spices, we also requested a special cabinet to be neater. Double cabinets that are pull-out and closed like this make it easy for us to take kitchen spices as needed and still look neat from outside the cabinet.
Likewise for spoons, forks, etc. We put them in a cabinet that has been designed for spoons, forks, etc.

Open space in tiny space ✨
One of our wishlists when renovating the house was to have a room that was spacious enough to gather with family. Finally, what used to be a dividing wall between the living room and the main bedroom was demolished and became this open space area.
The size is only 6 x 4 meters, but this open space area has become a very multifunctional room for us. Because the living room, dining set and kitchen set are in one. We can be very relaxed gathering here with various activities that we do together.
And this is the atmosphere at night.
The vibes that give a warm impression, make the room feel more spacious and very comfortable for us.

Choosing decorative items for the kitchen set & dining set area is very tricky for us. In addition to wanting the kitchen to look clean, this area can also be comfortable for our children.

Kitchen & Dining in open space area ✨
We deliberately chose a dining set made of teak wood so that it could blend in with the Japandi theme of the kitchen set.
This dining set is very functional for us.
In addition to eating, sometimes it is also a spot for us to cook and chat together.
If there are quite a lot of family or guests visiting, we just need to move this dining set so that we can have more space.

We really wanted to have a kitchen island in this kitchen. But because of the limited budget for the renovation, we finally decided to use this teak dining set.
So far we have no regrets, because it is very functional. In addition to eating, we often use it to just chat, cook or even work here 😁
We can also move this table when quite a lot of guests/relatives/neighbors visit, so the open space room is not too narrow.
Oh yes, teak wood has high durability and is also very easy to maintain.
We customized this teak dining set with a Japandi theme. To add variety, we set the chairs by combining stool chairs and benches like this. We chose natural colors to match the color and theme of the kitchen set as well.
