The bed frame is one of the affordable materials in the bedroom in our house, because we bought it because we were lucky.
We bought this KLEPPSTAD bed frame from IKEA when we had just changed the layout of our bedroom, from one without a bed frame to one that was more comfortable
We bought this bed frame because we were lucky after going back and forth looking for a suitable bed frame. Initially, we planned to buy a new bed frame at the normal price
However, when we entered the As-Is corner, we found this bed frame, with a fairly decent discount. From a price of IDR 1.9 million to around IDR 1.2 million.
Before buying it, of course, we checked in detail about defects, etc., even though it was an ex-display product, it turned out to be still in very good condition 👌🏻
This bed frame also looks right and matches the tone of our room. The appearance of the room immediately changed to be more comfortable

This Master Bedroom is 4x4.5 m in size with a simple layout with a 180+bed, dressing table, shelves, and reading corner.
It's quite simple, not wanting too many distractions, just functional.
The floor is made of SPC to make the villa feel warmer, the furniture and cupboards use solid teak wood, the fabric/leather chosen is still around gray and cream. The sheets and bedcover are made of soft cotton.
Most of the items are purchased from e-commerce and also online from Jepara. Decorative items such as pillows and ornamental plants, as well as DIY art frames. In addition, there are ambience hanging lamps for sleeping and reading lamps. Morning and afternoon like when the photo was taken rely on natural light from the large window in the room.

room material: ✨ low budget version ✨
when I started renovating the room, I still used some of the developer's default materials such as door frames and granite floors because they still function very well.
but for other materials such as the bed frame that I am currently using, it is a custom made by a wood craftsman in my city, they also sell it online ✨
why I chose custom because it is more budget-friendly and fits the size and concept of my minimalist decor 👀
besides that, another low budget material is the wall paint that I use, by changing the previous wall paint to a light-colored wall paint, the atmosphere immediately becomes bright and feels spacious ✨
for my 4x3 bedroom, I need about 5kg + 2kg of Dulux Catylac Chrysan White 44544 wall paint 👀

My Home Journey Story
Not all houses immediately feel like “home.” But every corner has a story—about processes, changes, and feelings.
If asked which part of the house I’m most proud of, the answer is: the bedroom. It’s simple—an arch-shaped Rattan Headboard—but it actually becomes the main character. Not only in the bedroom, but in the whole house. So iconic!
And this room is also the most comfortable place. Especially the yellow chair near the balcony—where I recharge, sit enjoying the wind, while sinking into silence. A small routine, but it has a big effect on the heart.
Then there’s the kitchen dining—a functional area that used to be just an empty lot, now a compact space full of knick-knacks, but I still try to keep it neat. A place to experiment with new recipes, as well as a space to share stories while eating together.
If you look at the before-after… the difference is very obvious. It turns out, it doesn’t always have to be a big renovation. Sometimes, small changes are enough to make a house feel more “alive.”
A house is not just a place to live, but a place to grow. Every change in it—no matter how small—is part of the journey of turning an ordinary place into the most comfortable place: “home.”
