For me, a mother and office worker, the easiest way to rest is to enjoy the dimness at home when night falls, accompanied by soft light from ambience light so that the atmosphere of the house feels warm and the body relaxes at the end of the day. As if all the hustle and bustle of the day slowly melts away, it feels like an invisible warm hug.
They say, "the smallest light has the biggest personality." In this family room, we placed the dupe ph5 Louise Poulsen, an iconic lamp by a Dutch designer and the IKEA Simrishamn round pendant lamp to strengthen the mid-century modern accent in our tiny house.

Who agrees that a house grows with its owner? Yep, so does this family room. It seems like this is the room that we explore the most in terms of styling and layout. When we first moved into the house after last year’s renovation, the sofa faced the shelf in photo 1. Then when our second child was born, the need for a larger playroom grew. So the layout changed to what it is now. Arranging this room certainly also took that into consideration. Where we chose a small and light coffee table that is easy to move if needed, and added open-shelving shelves with shelves that are low enough where toys and books can be arranged there, and easily reached by baby N. When I flashbacked to the growth of this room, I just realized that I almost forgot this is the whole point… we wanted to have a home that speaks for all the housemembers.
