Sometimes, a house doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to meet your needs and provide space to grow together. Like our kitchen set, which is indeed high, but we still use it wisely. A small ladder is a loyal friend to reach the upper cabinets that store stories about our favorite kitchen tools. We also made some open sections—either in the form of shelves or cabinets without doors. In addition to fulfilling the storage function, it also becomes a beautiful corner where the dish rack is arranged, like a small gallery in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the kitchen. And even though the lower cabinets still use the developer’s curtains, we just leave it that way. It remains neat, still functions, and for now… enough. This is where everyone gathers: the kitchen, the dining table, the stacks of clean dishes, and the aroma of unfinished cooking 😄 ⠀ We made this space open, so that conversations from the kitchen can flow into the dining room, and laughter from the dining table can be heard all the way to the family room. There are no partitions—because our lives are also learning to be more open. ⠀ There are still many corners to grow, shelves that have not been installed, and lights that may need to be replaced🫤. When night falls, the house changes tone. Lights come on one by one, not to illuminate everything, but to highlight just enough—the dining table, the kitchen corner, and a reading nook in the back. ⠀ We like soft lighting. Soft pendant lights, warm standing lamps, and under-cabinet lights that are just directional. Not blindingly bright, but enough to make the house feel like home. ⠀ At night, the house slows down.
