The name is Taman Serut. This shaved garden is an inner court which we designed as an oasis in the house. Because we like nature which is free, as it is, refreshing, natural, we apply it to a design in our home.
Its existence is important, because this area is a favorite area that can provide calm, comfort, restore a good mood, restore enthusiasm and be a place for healing from fatigue.

Clean kitchen is my dream!
With a cement concrete tabletop and kitchen cabinets using HPL concrete stone to stay consistent with the industrial theme.
Our kitchen area is divided into 3 parts, namely the dry area, cooking area and wet area. This is to maintain humidity in each part.
For the blacksplash, we are simple... using the remaining gray kitchen floor tiles which happen to be in the same color tone.
One of the things we like in this kitchen is the black kitchen sink made of scratch-resistant and non-peeling granite. Maintenance is enough by applying baby oil after drying to keep the color jet black.
The lower kitchen storage is for storing cooking utensils that are not so many ... heheh.
there is something interesting here, namely the use of a grease trap to prevent clogging of the drain. When will we discuss it?!

Bush House Terrace. Because we don't have a living room, we provide long benches and tables for guests who are not close by. Usually close guests such as relatives and friends will go straight into the living room.
The theme of this terrace is tropical industrial, and it was deliberately made to go up with stairs because our house used to be in a flood area. The industrial theme can be seen from the use of exposed cement on the walls, and gray granite and cement tiles.
For decoration, we put more live plants to make the terrace look fresh, combined with traditional coverpots from terracotta pots, purun and water hyacinth.
We also provide a hand washing station, so every time you come home or after gardening, you can use a stone sink. The stone sink and backsplash were chosen so that the tropical theme is more attached to this terrace.

To make a room look aesthetic, you don't need expensive items. Like in my living room, the idea is to use 2 pairs of black Ikea TRONES, which of course you guys know how much they cost. Then I added Dutch teak boards on top of the Ikea Trones, to make it more aesthetic (Idea from Pinterest). Let's do the math:
1. Ikea Trones 2 pairs = 499k x 2 = 998k
2. Custom Dutch Teak Board 70cm = 37.5k x 2 = 75k
3. Custom Dutch Teak board 102cm long = 50k
4. Nordic Flower Vase = 50k x 2 = 100k
5. Industrial Pipe Bracket = 45k x 4 = 180k

Color Palette
Paksu and I have very different tastes, he with industrial and I with japandi. So, there is a mixture of 2 tastes at @abouthomemaira. Therefore, our color palette is not far from brown, white, gray and black.

✨ Home Theme 🌿
Some time ago we had the opportunity to attend O! Class Interior Design Styling which added new insights about various home themes.
Our house is a minimalist house with an open space concept that combines several decoration themes.
✨ Scandinavian - Shown by the selection of neutral Scandinavian-style color tones such as white, black and wood tones. In addition, we also chose simple furniture and decoration models but still long-lasting typical of Scandinavia. The finishing of the house such as walls & floors also takes the white and wood colors that are attached to the Scandinavian tone.
✨ Industrial - Shown by the selection of metal materials to show a bold impression on some furniture. The combination of black metal and wood accents is a combination that we often see in industrial-style houses. In addition, we also use a lot of decorations with a combination of the two colors.
✨ So it seems that our house has a ScandinavianxIndustrial theme - Black and Wood typical of Industrial combined with White and Wood typical of Scandinavia.

Alhamdulillah our kitchen renovation is almost 90%😁
Because the work was directly handled by my husband for the installation process of the wide Stacking Shelves made of wood and iron and Plate Racks made of WPC wallpanel material😄
For the layout of our kitchen set, it is V-shaped with a Classic Industrial feel, maximizing the use of basic wood and rattan materials🥰
Although the kitchen space is limited, it can still look aesthetic and neat☺️

The color palette at rumah_veyla is dominated by bold colors...
Because initially the theme of this house was industrial with gray unfinished walls in the stair area, then we chose dark brown and black for most of the furniture in our house.
For wall paint, we chose white to give a spacious and clean impression.

Laundry Room 🧺
