When building a house #rumabatari, we had many limitations, one of which was financial. This made us rack our brains, so that our house could still be aesthetically pleasing but with as little budget as possible. We have tricked out a lot of things in this house, one of which is in #innercourtyard, which originally wanted to use an ironwood deck, we changed it to conwood, originally wanted to make the middle part a fish pond, we changed it to a dry garden etc. etc. haha but yes that's what the journey of building #rumahtumbuh is, there must be a story π€

Small house, big space!
This is my favorite open space corner, you can even cook while watching TV. The living room is directly connected to the kitchen with the Inner Courtyard as its core. More spacious, more comfortable! What do online neighbors think?

Garden / Backyard
This small garden measuring 5 meters x 1.5 meters is leftover land behind the developer's house which originally had no doors. Then we decided to install aluminum glass doors with wooden patterns and sliding to separate the outside area from the kitchen and dining room. Apart from using it as an open space for plants and rainwater absorption, we added a playground decoration for cats on the left side and as a laundry room for drying on the right side which we provided with a roaster barrier. The goal is so that it is not exposed directly from the dining room. The top is left open to allow air circulation. Then added another roaster on top of the wall and paranet half of the garden roof to keep the plants shaded, not exposed to direct sunlight but still getting enough light and air... sometimes I also put a clean chair and relax enjoying the greenery with Lulu & Popo πΎ

The advantages of having a kitchen and dining facing the garden. The dining atmosphere becomes more relaxed, the circulation of light and air is very good, especially since our kitchen does not have a cooker hood. Making the kitchen & dining area more aesthetic and looks spacious.

Minimalist Inner courtyard β¨
We transformed this 2 x 3 meter land into a simple yet very functional inner courtyard.
With an open dry garden concept, we use WPC Decking for the floor of this garden. We also chose calathea lutea plants to decorate this garden to keep it fresh.
The open roster walls make this area very important for the movement of air circulation in this house.
This garden is also one of our favorite spots to spend time with our children.

The areas in the house have been photographed from various angles. However, some of these photos have more aesthetic functions. The first is a bougainvillea bonsai in the front area highlighted by a spot light. This view can be seen at night. Second, there is a handmade painting from a craftsman in Bali. One of my favorites in the house after the family photo collage. The lighting that is directed at the painting also uses downlights. The third and fourth photos are the back garden of the house with its Gazebo (the family's favorite room to relax in the afternoon). The inner courtyard next to the kitchen is one of our best decisions because with the inner courtyard the air circulation and light in the house are very good, the dining atmosphere is also warmer, although not so big enough for children to play together there, it becomes a private healing space at home.

Initially, we wanted the theme of our house to be 100% industrial like this terrace. However, it turns out that caring for exposed walls is not easy. So we decided to paint all the walls & leave the exposed walls on the back terrace of our house.

From a standard house built by the developer, we transformed this house into a comfortable version for us.
Almost the entire layout of this house was completely changed according to our needs and desires.
The homework before renovating this house was 3 things;
1. Air Circulation
2. Lighting
3. Narrow and stuffy rooms
And now after being changed into an open space concept with a high ceiling plus many openings plus a mezzanine floor, this house feels more comfortable for us, thank God.. β¨

The garden at YYhouse is a low-budget garden with a selection of plants and materials that are affordable and low maintenance. One of them is by using bougainvillea flowers which are very heat resistant. But it can produce beautiful and aesthetic flowers.
