Yes.. Japandi is one of my favorite home styles. However, currently we have only realized it a little and also slowly, including in this kitchen area.
We made the kitchen set first after we finished the house contract. We chose brown-white and also a grayish backsplash with a terrazzo motif.
We also added a teak dining table that we customized at one of the Jepara furniture. We deliberately only added 2 chairs, because our child is still small. If our child wants to eat at this dining table, we will only add a high chair

kitchen set is my daily life
yasss! as a stay at home mom, most of the housework is here, preparing family meals, cooking preparations, washing dishes, making snacks or iced coffee/chocolate.
we don't decorate the dining table and we leave it clean when we're not eating. so, minimalist and functional decorations in the kitchen set area only, plus cabinets that contain lots of space for storage.
teak wood kitchen shelves are my favorite items!
the design is neat, the color is beautiful, the finishing is smooth, it can really be used to store kitchen spices, favorite mugs or other small decorations (can be changed every week to reduce boredom).
to freshen up the atmosphere I added some artificial plants as decorations to make it more comfortable to look at overall among the stainless and black items in this area.

I think the kitchen styling with open shelving & black is the same as a brown kitchen or other colors. Both need to be kept clean & tidy. Don't leave lots of items piled up even though they are damaged or no longer used, apart from making the kitchen crowded, space for storage will be limited and it will become messy, right?
It's true that if the kitchen is closed and has lots of drawers, it seems safer from dust & if it's messy it won't be visible, but that doesn't mean it doesn't need to be cleaned, right? And that doesn't mean that a closed kitchen can store a lot of things, right?
