𝑹𝙀𝒐𝙛𝒕𝙀𝒑 as a relaxing area.

𝑹𝙀𝒐𝙛𝒕𝙀𝒑 #rumahlimut is located on the 3rd floor.
The area is only 10m x 3.17m and is located along the 𝒄𝙖𝒓π™₯𝒐𝙧𝒕 & kitchen area on the floor. 1 or along the parlor & service area 2nd floor
The stairs leading to #𝒓𝙀𝒐𝙛𝒕𝙀𝒑 are made of cast cement painted black and white with a glass skylight roof.

Floor #𝒓𝙀𝒐𝙛𝒕𝙀𝒑 was chosen using black and white ceramic chess/harlequin motifs to be consistent with the theme of the ground floor terrace.

In this area we installed a canopy made of iron with a classic design.

For the seating area, we made a π™›π’π™€π’‚π™©π’Šπ™£π’ˆ π’ƒπ™šπ’π™˜π’‰ made of concrete with two electrical sockets with protective cover from weather and rain.

As a relaxing area, in the canopy area we have prepared a 𝒑π™ͺ𝒍𝙑 𝙀𝒖𝙩 π™₯π’Šπ™˜π’π™žπ’„ π’„π™π’‚π™žπ’“π™¨ made of teak wood with white ducco paint.

Some accessories to beautify this area, we added heat-resistant hanging flower plants, bougainvillea flower pots & the addition of #π’π™žπ’ˆπ™π’• π’”π™©π’“π™žπ’π™œπ’” which makes the atmosphere more romantic in the afternoon approaching night in this area.

Hopefully it inspires πŸ₯°

Talking about favorite room in this house,

Honestly, I can say that I like almost every room in this house.
But now I really like this mini rooftop...

Having a rooftop was one of our dreams when renovating this house...
Sometimes we can spend our free time here reading or chatting.
Or even occasionally you can work from home in this area...

And this swing is one of the pieces of furniture that you really have to have when you want to fill your furniture...
It's really fun to relax in the afternoon here...

We usually use the rooftop of our Buaran house to sit around in the afternoon. We deliberately made a seat from cement complete with LED strip lights.
With a cup of tea or coffee, or while cooling down after finishing exercise.

The inner area of this rooftop is designed as a comfortable gathering space.
Usually we gather on the rooftop in the afternoon to evening. Suitable for use when the weather is less supportive such as rain, without having to leave the rooftop atmosphere.

Here sometimes becomes a place for children to play and also sometimes a place for family gatherings while relaxing in the afternoon. The floor that previously used ceramics was replaced with synthetic grass to make it look greener

In our house, there is a roof which is a place to relax as well as a washing and drying room. The view from the roof is amazing, however, this beauty doesn't always last forever. One night, strong winds and heavy rain hit. The paranet as a heat barrier broke (third photo) when it was hit by fierce winds and left a big hole.

We use paranet with the aim of keeping shade and fresh air without having to cover it with a canopy. This is also a lesson for us to think more carefully when designing rooms, especially rooftops. Creating a comfortable and functional rooftop requires careful planning and choosing the right materials. So, here are some tips for creating an attractive and useful rooftop:

1. Design Planning: Determine the purpose of using the rooftop, whether as a relaxing space, roof garden, or area for BBQ. Adapt the design to your needs and lifestyle.

2. Consider the Building Structure: Make sure the rooftop can support the additional weight of the furniture, plants and people on it. Check the stability of the building structure and consult a professional if necessary.

3. Choose Weather Resistant Materials: Use materials that are resistant to extreme weather such as rain, heat and UV rays. Examples are hardwood, anti-slip ceramics, or durable composite materials.

4. Add Outdoor Furniture: Choose furniture that is specifically designed for use outdoors. Choose furniture that is weather resistant and easy to clean.

5. Pay Attention to Lighting: Install it
sufficient lighting to keep the rooftop bright and safe at night. Use garden lights, wall lamps or string lights to create a pleasant atmosphere.

6. Greenery: Plant greenery in pots or plant boxes to add a natural feel and freshen the air. Choose plants that are resistant to direct sunlight and do not require intensive care.

7. Consider Privacy: If the rooftop is open and visible to others, consider installing a fence or low wall to provide additional privacy.

8. Easy Access: Make sure access to the rooftop is easy and safe. Consider stairs that are comfortable and safe to use, as well as clear warnings to avoid accidents.

By planning carefully and paying attention to these details, you can create a rooftop that is comfortable, functional and fun to enjoy with family and friends. Hope it is useful!

Our rooftop on the 3rd floor is a favorite place to gather. This area is open, so we use rattan sofas that are waterproof, easy to clean, and equipped with removable seat cushions.

Seamless synthetic grass adds color and gives a spacious impression to the rooftop area.
