Every morning, sunlight and fresh air flow freely through the large window facing this backyard. We intentionally made a simple backyard design, with only green grass and a few plants for easy maintenance. But it turns out, the journey is not that simple!
After 2 years, we have replanted the grass twice because it was full of holes and uneven. The terraced soil structure does give it its own character when viewed from the window, but it also makes maintaining it a challenge.
Still, enjoying this green view every day from the main room, living room and kitchen really makes my heart calm. Has anyone else experienced a similar story with their backyard? 🌱

Backyard Garden Inspiration
Harvi's most favorite corner of the house, even though the garden is tiny, the play of colors and textured walls make the corner that was originally just for drying clothes more than just for drying clothes.
It doesn't get rained on during the rainy season and doesn't dry out during the dry season because we added a Sliding Canopy that is more flexible to open and close.

Favorite place for both of us in #tentramdihuni
Having a house with a back garden is a dream for both of us, because previously our house was a house built by a developer which didn't have open space in the back area, making us determined to have open space in the next house. Thank God, our hopes came true, apart from making the back garden aesthetic, it is also good for air circulation.
The two of us could spend a long time just exchanging stories here.

All the rooms in our house—from the living room, kitchen, to the bedroom—face directly onto this backyard.
We deliberately made the backyard the center of attention so that the house feels more spacious, fresh, and healthy.
Our backyard has a terraced land contour and is quite simple, only planted with mini elephant grass so that it is easy to maintain. But honestly, maintaining grass so that it stays green, fertile, and healthy is not easy. We have done extra care several times, especially when the grass is dry, has holes, or even dies.
Even so, we are very grateful because this backyard is able to give a different nuance to all the rooms in our house. It feels like the house is more alive with a touch of calming green.
