It’s tiring if I may be honest, but what can I do… because if it’s not like this, I won’t be able to get a spacious room with a walk-in closet and my own bathroom. Literally, this mezzanine floor only contains my room, the size is 6x6 m ☃️

🌸 Cute Room, Yay or Nay? 🌸
At the age of 34 years old, I was hesitant to make a cute room, pink, peach, flowers, basically something really girly, but I really want to, but I'm afraid it's tacky 🤣
This is what I apply to make a cute room but not tacky according to my version:
1. Paint girly colors only on one side of the wall, the rest white, so it's not too much and becomes tacky and the room feels more spacious with the white paint.
2. Choose girly paint that tends to be a bit soft, not garish, like soft pink, yellow, purple or peach or even dusty pink, dusty peach or dusty purple, it's more graceful than the garish ones. Pastel colors are the key. In this room I used dusty pink paint.
3. If you want to use a floral bed cover, it's best to use plain sheets, so it's not too crowded to the eye, and still choose flowers with sweet patterns, not ones with excessive color clashes.
4. Minimize the color of the decoration, if possible, just make it uniform, or use colors that are still in harmony with the other colors. So that it matches and doesn't make you dizzy.

Master bedroom 4x4m — not spacious, but enough to lie down while daydreaming about a staycation
I arranged this room with the principle: simple but warm.
➤ A bed without a bed frame to give a spacious impression (an alibi, actually I'm still waiting for the budget to buy a bed 😆)
➤ Rattan hanging lamp to get a tropical atmosphere
➤ Large arched windows to let in as much natural light as possible
➤ And the window seat corner? My favorite spot for a relaxing tea or coffee break
Everything was deliberately made so that when you open your eyes it feels like you're waking up in an Ubud villa, not in your own home
The key to comfort?
💡 Natural light + earthy colors + spacious space without too many details = anti-stuffy, pro-healing combo.

There is still not much that can be filled in our master bedroom, because besides there are still some works, we also don't want to rush to fill it so we don't regret it hehe.

The nest in our home where we regain our energy for the day🫶🏼 we make our bedroom as comfortable as possible without many decorations because we like plain ones.

✨ Comfortable Bedroom ✨
Creating a comfortable bedroom is very important, because we spend most of our lives sleeping.
A comfortable mattress, soft sheets, soft bolster pillows, warm lights, paint that suits your taste, beautiful decorations, all of that must work well together so that the occupants can feel at home and have good quality sleep.
I use a full latex mattress, it's been 9 years old, thank God it's still very comfortable. The bolster pillows I use are still low budget, but soft enough for everyday use. This bedcover set is only made of local cotton, but it's soft and comfortable enough to use, I deliberately customized the color to match my room. The paint in this room is also according to my taste, dusty pink and white. I deliberately have 2 types of lights, cool and warm colors so I can change the atmosphere. For decoration, it is quite minimalist, so that the room still feels spacious and not stuffy, but of course it must be matching and aesthetic ✨

Incidentally, we both really like sleeping on a bed without a bed frame. So we prefer the bed to be as low as possible and with a carpet as the reason.
And we really want to have a room that feels like a hotel, with a transparent bathroom, everything is also all white even though the maintenance is more troublesome, hehehe

🔆 Comfort Bedroom 🔆
To create a comfortable room, there are several important things that I think should be in the room, namely:

2. Mattress according to needs.
Because I don't really suit spring or foam mattresses, I choose a latex mattress so that my spine posture is better and I don't get sore when I wake up.
3. Comfortable Bed Cover set.
It doesn't have to be expensive, as long as we can choose a material that is comfortable on the skin and fits the budget. Hey, choosing sheets and pillowcases is also part of caring for your skin, you know!
4. Good lighting.
As much as possible, we provide several lights in the room, the aim is to differentiate the atmosphere of the room when sleeping and when doing activities. Good lighting can affect the quality of sleep, don't make the lights too bright when you're sleeping ☺️
5. Decorative elements.
The decorative elements here include paint that suits your taste, a reed diffuser with a calming scent, curtains that suit your needs and budget, and some pretty decorations to make the room feel more alive and add comfort.
1/3 of our lives are spent in the room, so I think it's really important to make the room comfortable, for sleeping or other activities such as bonding with children and deep talk with your partner ☺️

🔆 Top 5 Best Buy 🔆
This time I want to mention the top 5 best buy versions in the main room of my house.
1. Latex Mattress.
Honestly, I don't regret having a full latex mattress like this. At first, it will feel harder than a spring bed, but once you get used to it, it's really comfortable. When you wake up, your body doesn't feel stiff. For almost 10 years of use, this mattress is still in very good condition, not flat or damaged.
2. Hanging Lamp.
This Ikea hanging lamp only costs 90 thousand, but I think it's cute and timeless. I bought it 6 years ago but the condition is still good, and I think the look is still okay for this year when there are more variations of aesthetic hanging lamps.
3. LED oval mirror.
Although I was hesitant when buying, afraid it would break during shipping, and confused between the one with a frame or a frameless one like this, but it turns out I really like the frameless one like this, the shipping is also safe.
For almost 4 years of use, the condition is still good, no cracks or breaks, but 2 months ago I just replaced the lights because they were dead, it was easy, just buy an LED strip on e-commerce.
4. Hanging Bedside Table.

🌸 Comfortable in the Room 🌸
To create a comfortable room, you can actually do it with not too much capital.
For me, a comfortable room is a neat room, with a clean mattress and soft sheets, plus fragrances such as a reed diffuser.
To pamper the eyes, I deliberately decorated this room with matching paint, bedcover, and all the decorations, because with a beautiful view we will definitely feel more comfortable.
Oh yeah, I have migraines that are quite painful when they flare up, so I chose 90% blackout curtains in this room, so that I can block out the sunlight if it's too hot, and so that at night I can't see the shadows in the back garden so I don't get scared, ehehehe 😂

🌸 Low Budget Aesthetic Bedroom 🌸
My dream is to have a room that looks like a hotel, so that I feel more at home and good for taking pictures, ehehehe.
But but but but….the budget is really wow when I look at other people's references.
Finally I dived into e-commerce until I got a cheap one, lol 😂
Alhamdulillah, I was really happy to get a WPC wall panel that only cost 29 thousand per meter even though it looked aesthetic and luxurious because it had gold on it 🥹
I also DIYed other materials like the teak wood battens on the far right wall to make a wall panel so that there was a different accent.
The LED strip lights above the wall panel are also only 4 thousand per meter, in fact, if there's a discount, it can be only a thousand 🥹
It's real, just by adding the effort of price surveys, we can really get materials that are worth buying at low prices 💸
