This is the facade of our house at dawn approaching morning.
This facade is very thick with the industrial concept. The choice of all-black exterior paint color, minimalist hollow iron fence which is also black, andesite stone carport floor, plus exposed brick and roster with unfinished looks. The facade is the first external appearance that will make it a point of interest.
We want the facade of the house to highlight the characteristics of the house with a unique appearance, cheap materials and minimal maintenance.
Still with the theme #rumahindustrial the facade of the house is made of exposed cement that is manually molded using begesting wood, so that a wood grain pattern is obtained. Uneven?! yes that is the characteristic of industrial rustic in our house.
Why minimal maintenance? Because we have thought, many people repaint the exterior of the house. With a rustic exposed appearance like this, don't worry about the house looking dull ... yes, just say our house is factory style 😁
The carport floor paving is also handmade from cement blocks so that water absorption is good and there is no puddle.

One of our principles, in decorating a house does not always have to be with expensive materials, the most important thing is that its function and aesthetics are fulfilled.
Like in our backyard. Instead of using a glass canopy roof which is quite expensive, we chose to use clear solarflat material. We also put a tiered plant rack made of wood that we bought from e-commerce at a low price.
For the kitchen set, we chose to use ceramic as a backsplash, HPL material for the cabinet, and terrazzo motif ceramic for the top table. We chose these three materials because they are affordable so they can reduce the budget for making the kitchen set.
On the facade of the house, we also used the remaining HPL kitchen set to be used as a cover for the MCB box and the electricity meter box to make it look more aesthetic. In addition, for the frame material, we chose aluminum because it is more durable.
In the carport, we used three different element materials: andesite stone for the carport floor, split stone to separate the carport and terrace areas, and elephant grass to keep giving a fresh green accent. These three materials are also very affordable and easy to maintain.

The definition of an ideal home in our opinion is not only good and livable, but all family members must be comfortable, including children. And the function of each room meets the needs of our family.
The lessons we learned while living in the previous house became our reference during the home renovation process. Although it did not change the foundation of the house, overall during the renovation we had calculated the needs of the family.

Hello neighbors ✨
This is our house carport. The size is not that big, only 4 x 5 meters.
Enough for 1 car and 2 motorbikes.
We chose 10x10 cm andesite stone for the carport floor.
Its unfinished and minimalist looks are very suitable for the theme of our house. Andesite stone is also very low maintenance and durable, highly recommended.
The carport roof uses black hollow iron and a solid polycarbonate roof, sunlight can enter so that the house is far from damp.

At first we were a little confused about determining the theme of this house. But the desire to renovate and quite intense discussions with our architect, finally we agreed to carry the theme "minimalist with a touch of Japandi industrial"
Starting from the facade, the industrial touch is very pronounced, because most of the materials used are deliberately made unfinished. Such as brick tiles, rosters and andesite stones which are only coated naturally.
Because the land is quite limited, we utilize the area under the stairs to be used as a TV Corner which also serves as the living room of this house. Minimalist stairs that still highlight hollow iron, display an industrial impression.
In contrast to the facade and living room, the kitchen set is more Japandi themed. However, we still use kitchen appliances mostly in black so that the industrial impression still appears.
We still strive for a green area in this house. Finally, we made the land which is only 2 x 3 meters into an indoor garden. Although very minimalist, this garden is very useful for us, especially to maximize air circulation in this house.

Carport Floor Inspiration ✨
We decided to use a carport floor using 10x10 andesite stone material.
Its very natural appearance is very suitable for the theme of our industrial house facade.
Andesite stone is also very useful for safety when vehicles enter the carport.
Its surface is not slippery, so car/motorcycle tires do not slip easily, so it is safe from the risk of falling.
In addition, its maintenance is also very easy. Just rinse it once a week with a water hose. If you feel something is too dirty, just brush it sufficiently.
Like stone, the more natural it appears, the better & more aesthetic it looks.
