Good Morning Neighbor O! House
The ambience of this living room was created to be more comfortable and we are also decorating this living room in installments with woven rattan because we like the color combination of woven rattan plus black. The furniture we use is mostly black and cream to match the Japanese colors. We chose this furniture to make it easier for us to upgrade or redo our furniture with rattan. Most of our furniture, we buy at IKEA where we can easily restore the furniture.
We have restored some of this IKEA furniture, you can see it on slide 3:

Why do I use a combination of ivory and light brown in my living room? Because it makes it look spacious. Bright colors create a spacious impression, so that's why I use this color combination.
For the cabinets, they are deliberately installed up to the ceiling so that the ceiling is not empty and to be used as a warehouse (because we don't have a warehouse).
For the sofa, we still use a sofa bed because we still have small children, so we really need a sofa bed on the 1st floor because we don't have a room on the 1st floor. That's the story behind this Living Room 🫶 hopefully it can be an inspiration ..

My apartment's living room is quite small with a 2-seater sofa so that it doesn't look stiff, some decorations can be added to make the small living room look spacious.

I use vinyl flooring to get a natural wood look but still practical (plus: soft and not cold!). For the walls and moldings, I chose WPC so that it is moisture-resistant and durable.
Japandi doesn't have to be expensive, as long as you are smart in playing with materials. 🧺🌿
