We designed this living room using a Japanese-style and neutral concept measuring 3.5 x 5 m, deliberately making it spacious because we usually spend time in this room. Apart from being used as a place to receive guests, you usually also use it as a family gathering room.

This is a warm evening atmosphere in a mid-century modern style living room with artsy accents 🎨

⭐️Living Room⭐️
Our Living Room is not too big and is currently filled with a sofa from my old house because the 3 seater is still good to use. The TV backdrop is designed with a closed wall panel to make it look sleek and minimalist. Because this room is our lounge while watching, we want this room to be as cozy as possible, so we like to put lots of decorative pillows, blankets, and of course there must be a carpet that makes the room feel immediately comfortable.
Because the concept of my house is open plan, there are no dividing spaces, so behind the sofa, we put a credenza cupboard as a divider between the dining area and the living room area. On top of this credenza I put some decorations to sweeten it up.

A warm and comfortable living room is a must. Because all family members spend the most time in this room after returning from all activities outside the home. The aim of using a ceiling fan is to save more electricity, although there is still a 2PK AC in this room, but usually the AC is only turned on at night. There are also lots of openings, because the folding door is quite wide, but because the canopy roof is transparent, it gets quite hot too.
The furniture in this room is mostly from IKEA, such as the sofa, floating TV cabinet, coffee table and prints. Still using natural wood and earth tone pallette, occasionally there is a splash of color in the decoration so it's not monotonous. As much as possible, don't have too many unnecessary decorations in this room, so that it's easier to clean every day and the appearance isn't too busy so it's nicer to look at.

When the day starts to end, different colors are created in this Japandi themed living room. more yellowish, warmer and inviting.
when night falls, we rarely use bright lights. We prefer to use strip lights and standing lamps with warm white colors to create a warm and relaxing ambience. ready to rest.
We chose carpets, sofas with soft pillows, and easy chairs with colors that fit the theme, so it was as if they were saying "let's sit down first, are you tired? How is today? want to watch TV to cheer up your tired day?"
The furniture we use is mostly from Ikea Indonesia with light wood colors, apart from that for the TV backdrop, we also order custom ones with matching colors. for other decorations according to my preferences, who like plants, books and various handicrafts that we bought in Jogja.
tip: when renovating a house, install two types of lights in the living room, warm white stripes on the ceiling and standing lamps, and bright lights in the middle of the ceiling. When you want to relax, only use warm white lights, and when you have guests, you can turn on bright lights.

The style of this living room is more boho Scandinavian with white walls and natural furniture such as rattan and terracotta vases and bamboo hanging lamps. Sofa Stories 🛋️
The Kivik sofa from Ikea is my dream sofa from before I had a house. From the looks of it, it's pretty, soft and very comfortable, the model is also minimalist.
We chose the 3 seater plus chaise lounge so that we have space and if we have relatives staying overnight it can be an alternative place to sleep.
There are also many choices of cover colors and can be adjusted to your favorite color or color tone at home, and most importantly, the cover can be washed or you can collect covers in other colors too because the covers can be purchased separately too.

Living Rooms
Even though the Living Room in our house is at the front, it is the last room we decorate.
Understandably, because we rarely receive guests, only family and close friends always come and don't need to be entertained because they are not considered guests hehehe..
But little by little, this room finally started to feel like a "Living Room". We decorated this room with a more "stiff" impression than the family room. With a more aesthetic sofa and large decorative lights to make it look elegant.
