Home Coffee Bar SFhaus was requested to the interior designer considering our passion for coffee, tea, and mixology. We regularly host so this area is prepared to be easy to entertain guests. We enjoy the ritual of brewing, reflected in our setup which is almost entirely manual without electricity.
This area has two wings separated by a mirror and tufted rug.
- The right wing is integrated with the living room cabinet is the mixing station.
- The left wing is integrated with the kitchen is the display & serving station. Since the cellar is limited, we put the rest of our liquor collection in the Study Room (slide #7).
We only need to turn our bodies when prepping and serving. All panels including the fluted olive can be opened for storage.
Used in conjunction with the audio gear in the living, this area is a reductive interpretation of a kissaten / speakeasy / listening bar. A place where we unwind every night with coffee, cocktails, vinyl music while reading books accompanied by dim lights.
