By deliberately layering different textures, a balance is achieved between "openness" and "warmth." The greenery isn't just decoration; it's a layer to control the viewer's gaze. It's placed with depth in mind, so that every view is picturesque. The area around the sofa is intentionally kept rough. The cushion placement isn't overly neat, and the "faded" vintage rug retains a lived-in feel. It's not perfect, that's what makes it comfortable.
