Our house facade is minimalist themed, because it suits the minimalist land as well.
For the fence, I use GRC still with a wood motif to match the door and wooden decking that I installed on the terrace.

For us, plants are more than just decoration.

One of the areas in Delasta House that was transformed with affordable materials is the back garden.
Generally, the back garden is designed by one main tree (mostly bonsai trees) which we know the price of one tree can be millions, then usually there are several companion plants to beautify the garden area which cost hundreds of thousands per plant. Not to mention the grass or small plants, which are cheap but need a lot so if the total is hundreds of thousands too.
Well, in Delasta House, the replacement for the bonsai tree is the Balinese pandan tree. This tree is free, aka there is no cost, because coincidentally in front of our house there is a Balinese pandan tree that is already very large, so we cut some of it to fill the garden area.
For the companion plants we use ice candle plants, and for the decoration I use white and black natural stones.
The total cost of making this back garden is less than 1 million (Rp. 928,000).

Tropical Facade Garden Renovation

Starting from a green grassy garden and tall Calathea plants, it finally switched to a tropical dry garden. The reason is because the growth of Calathea is too fast, new trees grow and are very dense. So extra care is needed, not to mention the horsetail plants that originally had hairy flowers have not grown again for a long time, only leaving tall grass making the garden look less neat.

One day we went to one of the Slow bar coffees in Jogja to find the garden inspiration that we like, namely a tropical dry garden with red coral rocks, there are Pandan Bali trees, Dracaena, Bromelia and large river stone decorations & fossil stones. It looks very beautiful, simpler and has character. Moreover, our garden is not too big, the selection of Pandan Bali trees & Dracaena is considered the most appropriate in terms of maintenance, only cutting the stems that are already tall so that new branches appear.

We chose white paint to make it look bright, with the addition of brick colored roster for variation so that it is not monotonous.

• Non-Fence Facade in Cluster House •
Hello, O!House friends, my house is in a cluster so I don't have a fence. However, I use railings on the balcony above the carport.
The railing on the balcony is made of hollow iron with 8mm tempered glass finishing, uniform with the canopy above the stairs and balcony.
I also have a small garden where I planted Balinese pandan and frangipani trees with pink flowers. Some short plants and elephant grass planted underneath are quite refreshing to the eyes.

Before - After Renovating Plants in the Backyard.💫
After more than 2 years since they were first planted, the condition of the backyard plants was already very tall & the shape was messy. I had intended to renovate it for a long time but was confused about what to do. I was bored with the layout of just rows. Finally, we made pandan bali as the center of attention then underneath there were small plants that we placed randomly gathered together to make it look more lush but still neat & pleasing to the eye. After being changed like this, it turns out that the yard looks more spacious. What do the neighbors think?

Initially because we saw our neighbor during Eid painting the carport yard so it looked cleaner like a new carport. It turned out that they used outdoor paint / field paint (propan tennokote). Coincidentally there were many color choices, then we wanted a bluish gray color and dark blue..
It turned out to be interesting, besides the appearance being clean and new, it felt like getting a new atmosphere on this facade too 🤭. Sorry if there are car tire marks, we happened to be waiting 24 to be exposed to water. So when it's completely dry, we'll just pour water so that the car tire marks disappear.
