Which team are you on: custom furniture/buy ready-made? I'm on the custom furniture team ofc, because #RumahSeupil has almost 85% custom furniture, from kitchen sets, shoe racks, under-stairs cabinets, to walk-in closets. WHY? Because it helps me a lot in realizing #RumahCompact which is tiny but has lots of storage. Also, if I bought ready-made, I probably wouldn't be able to find furniture that fits the size, because my house has lots of impossible corners. For the kitchen set to be more affordable I used HPL and Solid surface table top with gray and white motif, and for the bathroom I used a door with pivot hinges so that it is cheaper and does not take up space to open and close the door, the bathroom wall also uses ceramics on only 1 side to attract attention and reduce the budget.. Instead of using a frame, in #RumahSeupil the door uses a pivot system so it is directly attached to the wall. 😆 Yes, it is more economical! Because the frame is quite expensive, right? Not to mention the door material, then the mortise, handle, etc. Honestly, I was shocked that there were so many details to make a door. I thought, okay: just finish 1 door, but it turns out not! Since my door is pivot, I don't need to provide a frame. Straight to the main material and handle set.
