The shape of the stairs to the 2nd floor at first21.haus is quite challenging to decorate. because there are 2 rows with a long and a short section. so that the area under the stairs cannot be used to extend the room. Finally we made it into a warehouse for household tools, one of which was a shoe rack. So that it is not exposed from the living room, we tricked it with open shelves (next to the refrigerator) which we used to store plants, aromatherapy candles and tumblers. while saving money to make interior storage & cabinet doors under the stairs. Even though it's not very large, at the end of the corner of the stairs there are 2 indoor rubber plants (karet kebo) & a gloricium in terracotta & white wooden pots so that the room still looks natural. And 2 vases between frameblock posters that give a rustic impression. Finally, warm white LED lighting along the stairs to create a light ambience in this area. Does anyone have the same problem? This is how I style my “narrow corner room”. The key is to first measure the area you want to decorate. Then decide what you want to do in that area. Here, because this is a transition room between the 2nd floor and the 1st floor, I deliberately put a mirror so that the children whose rooms are on the 2nd floor can go downstairs when they want to go to school and see their appearance once again before leaving the house. I also put a small table, the dimensions of which have been clearly measured before purchasing so that it doesn't become cramped and disrupt walking flow in the stairwell area.
