➖ Low Budget Decoration Since we first moved in, we have decorated this tiny house more with #lowbudget and #DIY. It also happened that during the 2020 makeover, there were no products like #wallbatten #wallpanelpvc etc. So we made our own with Dutch teak wood planks which are easier to find and cheaper. With just the capital of the home inspiration platform media, we can decorate the house according to our wishes, also more economical and pocket-friendly. In this living room and TV room, we made the wallbatten, shelves, and #slatwall accents ourselves from Dutch teak wood which we painted or coated with HPL stickers. Thank God it's still durable for 4 years. —— Compact Small House Actually, this 44m2 house can be seen from the entrance, all the way to the kitchen. Not because of the open space concept, but because it is super tiny 😁 This tiny house is not an open space house, because there is a partition between the living room and the kitchen, also from the layout that is like the letter T, because if you want to go to the living room you have to turn first, it is not immediately visible from the entrance, likewise if you want to go to the bedroom or bathroom area. Even though it is tiny and compact, our house is still the most comfortable place to come home to and rest. ➖ Child-Friendly Home Many people think that those who like home decoration will always have a neat house ⁉️ No, especially during school holidays like this, they just give up on the messy condition of the house. This family room is one of the children's favorite spots to play or watch TV while lying on the carpet. The decorations and furniture that I use here are child-friendly because: • I usually use a thick, soft and non-slip carpet so that it is safe for active children. • Don't forget to always provide pillows or large dolls so that children are more comfortable playing. • The TV rack that we use here is multifunctional, as a storage for toys and story books so that it looks neater, and is also easy for children to reach. The storage material that we choose is also light and safe for children. • Our wall paint is also non-toxic and washable, safe to wipe if scribbled on. • We choose a round Coffee Table so that it is not sharp, and don't forget to provide snacks so that children are happier while playing, the jar is made of thick plastic, not glass jars 😊. ➖ NOT an Open Space House 🔍 This Tiny House is still the developer's default shape and model, we haven't renovated it yet. What makes this house not open space is the kitchen area which has been closed by a partition/wall from the start. But there are Pros and Cons too, ➕ Pros: • The smell of smoke from the kitchen does not go directly to other rooms. • If the kitchen is messy, it is not directly visible to guests/from the entrance. ➖ Cons: • The abundant sunlight from the back of the house (kitchen) does not enter other rooms. • Makes other rooms narrower because of the wall partition (not Open Space) So we outsmarted it by changing the wall color to white on the walls of the entire house when we first moved in. Also placing compact, small and minimalist furniture so that other rooms still have space left.
