Renovation part 4- bathroom in master bedroom
To be honest, initially, this house didn't have a bathroom in the main bedroom.
Like most developer-built houses, one of the bathrooms is located between two rooms whose doors are facing each other.
Well, instead of having to bother making a new bathroom... I'll change the direction of the other bedroom door and provide a new partition and access to the main bedroom. So you have an ensuite bathroom 😊
Well, this bathroom has a more masculine color choice and there aren't a lot of knick-knacks because my husband takes a lot of time in the bathroom hahaha.
At first I thought the bathroom was sized. 160 x 220 can't make a shower room in the room... let alone adding a sink and mirror, but after measuring it, thank God it turns out it still fits and doesn't look too cramped, right? 😁

I've lived in this house since I was little since 2000. It's been 24 years! Yep, this is my parents' house. In the past, when we just moved, the area around the house was still surrounded by a pond. Even my house used to be a pond/swamp which was then dredged. At that time there was no road access. So when I go to school I have to walk along the pond, weeds and block people😂
It's the middle of nowhere, but why do my parents want to live here? Yep, the main reason is because in the area where my house was built there is an Islamic school. And finally the mothers who wanted to build an Islamic family gathered and built houses around the Islamic school. Yep, and that was my school too.
Therefore, of course my family is very religious and active in social activities. So this house is not too decorated. Until I got older and had my own income, I started decorating the rooms in my parents' house one by one. Starting from my own bedroom, the bathroom under the stairs, the dining room, until now the living room.
Even though it's not my own house and maybe the changes aren't that significant, I'm happy because the results of this decoration can also bring a little happiness to my parents in the place where I grew up as a child.

The dining room area is the "soul" of the house.
by changing the developer's default layout, namely doors and windows into sliding doors, our house became brighter and looked more spacious than before..

Renovation story part 3 - rear bathroom
In our house there are only 2 bathrooms, and this bathroom is located next to the kitchen, the back area goes directly to the public garden. What has been renovated??? All hahaha
From the start, the wall almost split (he said it was due to ground movement). Then the door facing the kitchen (last slide) was moved to face the living room... we did this so that the kitchen table area could be wider.
The bathroom which originally still had a tub was replaced with a barrel... apart from being more aesthetically pleasing so it doesn't make the walls damp. And all the contents were replaced with new ones. Already finished ??? Not yet... apparently according to the guests who were playing at home the floor was slippery (slide 1 floor). We didn't think so and until the floor was replaced, thank God nothing fell heheh 😅, even though the old floor had a wooden texture... that's all. Let's just replace it with a rougher one... (slide 2 floor) well, the next drama is this new floor because the texture is really rough, you have to use extra brushing power. 🤭 And... as a result of replacing the floor on the side, cement stains appear 🥲, it's still a matter of looking for a solution 😁 Or maybe just renovate it completely again, hahaha

AFTER, BEFORE.
Without changing the structure of the building, we refreshed our home by simply replacing damaged materials (and adding a sunroom).
When renovating our home, we tried to use timeless materials for a more sustainable home. For example, by choosing light-colored, matte granite tiles that are easy to maintain, neutral wall paint to make the room feel more spacious and bright, and choosing furniture that can accommodate our family's needs. In addition, changing the layout of the room can also have a big impact. For example, after the pandemic, we swapped the dining area for the living area. This created a different flow in our home, making it more welcoming.

Arranging a small 3x3m living room for the most guests
This is the living room at (my parents') house. Because my parents are very social types, so there are quite a lot of guests coming to the house, around 7-8 people or maybe even more. Therefore, because its size is only 3x3m, almost all sides of the living room are used for placing chairs.
On the other side, it is used as a storage shelf for books which are placed against the wall. Of course, for areas that are difficult to reach, books that are rarely opened are placed. Apart from that, there is a round table which can be used to store snacks for guests. This table is light so it is easy to move if more space is needed when the number of guests coming is more than 7-8 people.
Because the space is narrow and filled with chairs, there are several tricks I use to make the room look spacious. The first is using neutral colored paint from Dulux and installing curtains at ceiling height so that the room looks wider✨

It turns out that renovation can change the vibes of the house. What I did was a low-cost renovation, namely installing wall panels on the kitchen wall and the back terrace partition wall. By installing wall panels, the house looks more in line with the Scandinavian style of the bieshouse. The budget for renovation must be calculated so that with a low budget the vibes of the house are different.

Hi homers🥰
So we want to share the color palette in the downstairs room, which consists of:
1. Family room
2. Kitchen
3. Studio room and living room
To choose the color for the family room and kitchen, we chose cool shades, a combination of gray, white, brown and a touch of black.
The intention is to have a cool feel but still have a touch of chocolate which makes the atmosphere cool and warm ☺️
Now, for the studio room and living room, the overall feel is all white, this is really made for selfies and an icon in this house ☺️
For tips on choosing colors from us so that the house doesn't seem monotonous, our choice is to make it different in each room, for example the kitchen and family room, preferably gray brown and white, I added maroon for the chair furniture and in our opinion this creates boldness and color in this room.
So, in the studio room, we made it all white but still have touches of pastel colors for flower vases and other things.

Renovation story part 2 - side area
When we first moved here, the old owner positioned this side area as a drying area and warehouse (last slide), and we continued with that.
So far, it has undergone 2 renovations... the first was adding roster bricks so that the drying area is not too exposed.
Well, what's new recently is adding a concrete base in front of it which functions as a water tower at the top and the bottom functions as a side terrace where you can place your shoes before entering the house.
Another change is that the yellow door which was originally the front door was replaced with a new door, then the yellow one was moved to the side area. Then a shoe cabinet was added which was deliberately chosen in black and white to match the batik motif ceramics which were also in the same color.
