This family room is my favorite place to spend time relaxing at home with my little family, because I am a working mom, so this place is the first place I stop before entering the bedroom, and in this room the children are also waiting for their father and mother to come home.

Initially, this room used a partition between the living room and kitchen, but it felt cramped, so we decided to change the layout, removing the partition between the living room and kitchen.
And according to our expectations, the room became more spacious, the kitchen area which was initially cramped, now we can make a kitchen set with a size of 2.40 plus a cupboard under the stairs.
The open space concept is indeed the key to making the space more spacious.

➖ Our Bright Room
One of the TV rooms is exposed to sunlight from the window.
Usually this house has lots of sunlight from 10 o'clock onwards because our house faces south so it's a bit difficult to get sunlight.
Coincidentally the neighboring houses are also taller. So it becomes increasingly difficult to get abundant sunlight. That's why I really want to replace the windows with bigger ones and add skylights so that more light can come in.

➖ Low Budget Decoration
Since we first moved in, we have decorated this tiny house more with #lowbudget and #DIY.
It also happened that during the 2020 makeover, there were no products like #wallbatten #wallpanelpvc etc. So we made our own with Dutch teak wood planks which are easier to find and cheaper.
With just the capital of the home inspiration platform media, we can decorate the house according to our wishes, also more economical and pocket-friendly.
In this living room and TV room, we made the wallbatten, shelves, and #slatwall accents ourselves from Dutch teak wood which we painted or coated with HPL stickers. Thank God it's still durable for 4 years.

A simple TV room with minimal decoration is a child's favorite, if he doesn't have friends to play with, he can hang out here all day. Sometimes I even lift the mattress and fall asleep. A synthetic rattan cupboard with 3 drawers is a hiding place for items that are usually messy on top, hehe. The current color palette at Lolla House is bold and warm combinations.
We use bold, neutral colors with a combination of dark and light, such as black, brown, sand and white. We apply these colors to wall paint, as well as home decoration.
We chose this color palette because previously our house had a #monochrome (black and white) theme, then we added 1 earth tone color element to make it warmer and more comfortable.

DIY Low budget TV Backdrop✨
We DIY this TV backdrop using upvc marble combined with wall panels. For upvc marble, it takes 1 sheet measuring 1.22 x 2.9 meters, the installation is very easy to glue using sika glue and the wall panel uses 6 pieces which are attached using sealant glue. For the cost, it costs around 1.3 million, do you think it's worth it?
