• Kitchen-Dining Room at Himfari's House •
Hello O!House friends, this room is the dining room and kitchen at Himfari's House.
To get around limited space, the kitchen can only be made on one side with a length of 3.5m (including space for a side-by-side refrigerator) and the dining room is built together with the kitchen, so the dining table can also be used as a preparation table when cooking. .
In the middle of this room, there is a structural column that cannot be moved, so we added another column and then installed a shelf, so the column in the middle of the room can actually be used as a display area to display the tumbler collection.

This is a dining room that is combined with the kitchen..this room is not too spacious so I got around it by placing a kitchen island that also functions as a dining table..this kitchen island is made of multiplex covered with taco, for the top table I used white marble..it is indeed a bit tricky to maintain because stains are easily absorbed..I only put 2 rattan chairs as dining chairs, honestly we rarely eat here, the kids prefer to eat while watching TV in the living room area :) #MejaMakanMinimalist #WarnaCatRumah #InspirasiRuangMakan #DiningRoomStyling #minimalist #RuangMakan

Coincidentally, when I was preparing my sahur meal, before everyone got up for sahur, I snickered first 😀.
Creating a cafe-style atmosphere at home has been my dream for a long time, thank God it has been achieved according to the existing budget 😀. I love teak + rattan furniture, so to create an aesthetic and comfortable cafe-style dining room atmosphere in this old house, and also make you feel more at home hehehe, I chose a custom teak dining table from Jepara. Previously, this dining table was a set with teak armchairs, in my opinion the house was getting narrower, in the end I replaced the dining chairs with benches and stools also made from cutsom teak wood, so that this small room looked spacious. To complete the aesthetics of this dining room, I also added a 60cm round teak mirror, and an industrial trolley combined in this room, don't forget to add a touch of artificial plants + cafe-style retro lights..., I hope it inspires you 😍

Yes.. Japandi is one of my favorite home styles. However, currently we have only realized it a little and also slowly, including in this kitchen area.
We made the kitchen set first after we finished the house contract. We chose brown-white and also a grayish backsplash with a terrazzo motif.
We also added a teak dining table that we customized at one of the Jepara furniture. We deliberately only added 2 chairs, because our child is still small. If our child wants to eat at this dining table, we will only add a high chair

Dining Room
Good evening from my simple dining room, for the dining room I chose a fairly large dining table so I can chat with many relatives or friends. I added a cream-colored tablecloth with aesthetic white flowers that make it sweet, then there are beautiful ceramic plates from my collection plus a flower vase plus a soy sauce & sauce container in neutral white with a bamboo lid.
In this dining room, as much as possible, the color ornaments in it are mostly basic colors such as white and brown which make the kitchen atmosphere even more homey 🤍

Dining Room 🍽️
We set the open space dining room together with the mini kitchen in a warmer setting, dominated by dark brown wood. We filled it with a glossy coated tamarind wood table with a few holes to make it look natural. Actually, we ordered a length of 60cm so that the room would be more spacious, but after it was finished, it turned out that there was an excess of 10cm, but it didn't matter as long as it was easy to move to the kitchen, toilet and to the back garden.
We deliberately customized the stainless rattan wooden chair that we bought at the marketplace with Oscar foam and camel color (brown-orange) so that it looks fresher and not monotonous. This dining table is not only comfortable for eating but is also often used for sitting and working with a laptop/ipad because you can directly enjoy the green garden.
Don't forget, there is a coffee spot on the iron wood console table which we customized to suit your storage needs for placing basket boxes and rice containers. So that things can be arranged more neatly. On top of that we added more colorful decorations such as glass cups, vases, posters and acrylic shelves but still in keeping with the colors of the midcentury modern style. Hopefully you don't get bored of visiting, online neighbors 😉🙏

The kitchen & dining room @zenhouse.id have different vibes at night and during the day. So yesterday Saturday Bekasi was very cloudy, so when we took the photo, it turned out the light was different😍
Oh yeah, our kitchen always gets natural lighting guys. Every morning the sunlight enters through the arched window in the family room. Then on the right side of the kitchen there is also an arched window that we always open to add ventilation & lighting.
The kitchen space is indeed compact so we try to optimize the empty space in the kitchen set to be a preparation area when cooking. Well because of that we also thought, we have to find a table top material that is easy to clean and not easily oily. As a result, our choice fell on Quadra "Bassaltina Panna" which is a really good material. Easy to clean, and once exposed to oil it doesn't become shiny and difficult to clean. The bonus, this color also matches the color tone of our house.
Then when discussing with our architect, we were asked, do you prefer a kitchen island or a dining table? So after a discussion together, we finally chose a dining table instead of a kitchen island so we could sit at the dining table and chat after a long day🥰🥰🥰
Actually, a kitchen island can also be used as a place to eat, but we thought the height and size of the chairs would be different from a regular dining table. I'm afraid it will affect comfort if we want to sit for a long time 😂
