This house is a developer's built-in house, where usually the developer's built-in house does not have a kitchen area. So during the renovation process we added a kitchen area at the back of the house assisted by contractor services.
The size of the dining & kitchen area is around 3 x 4 m. With the tiny house that we have, of course we also apply the open plan concept so that the house looks more spacious. Even though our house has an open plan concept, we had the idea of adding partitions between rooms, the aim was to give the impression of a nice separation between rooms. We looked for various kinds of inspiration for room dividers through the Pinterest platform and from several choices of divider models, we finally decided on a design like this. You can see on slide 3, we applied the inspiration we saw to our original residence.
To create a list of partitions & kitchen sets, we use kitchen interior services to make it easier to implement / realize our wishes.

One of the wishes on the wish list when building a house is to provide a little land for a garden area. Gardens and plants are an inseparable unity. Plants are one component that I think is a 'must have' in a garden. Plants are useful for filtering the air to make it fresher, and can also relax the owner. We chose plants that are low maintenance, such as calathea lutea, peace lily, and ketapang ketapang, many of which were inspired by other home decor accounts that were much earlier in managing gardens. Apart from that, there are several tips that can be taken. For example, using paranet as a garden base before installing split stones to inhibit the growth of wild plants. It turns out that this tip really works after seeing that there is no growth of wild plants after 8 months of installation. Apart from that, many coffee shop-inspired garden benches are made at home so that it still feels healing even at home.

Facade without Architect

The facade of Angkahouse is inspired by coffee shops with a minimalist theme with full white paint which can be used as a photo spot in the corner. We got this inspiration because we often visit cafes in the Semarang area and its surroundings. We implemented a terrace with seating made of cement and added large windows and 1 tall tree that could be used as shade. We implemented these 3 elements from the coffee shop.

Incidentally, my house doesn't use an architect or interior services. I was inspired by his Instagram with a house in Marrakech, Santorini, and the house of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Kitchen & Dining Room
This is the atmosphere where we spend a lot of time, especially at dinner with the family.
This dining table has a minimalist impression to provide ample space because we still have small children. But of course we use beautiful vases and artificial leaves to add decoration to this dining table.
We used a table with two chairs and a bench to give this room an intimate impression. With a nuance that matches our kitchen, of course we chose wood for the furniture material.

A garden that changes its function from a wet garden to a dry garden. When we first built this house, we wanted a minimalist, tropical theme, so we agreed to create a wet garden with the addition of yellow frangipani plants in the style of a Balinese villa. But as time went by the mini grass often died, the walls and floors became moldy and the leaves often fell off, so we agreed to make a dry garden inspired by a video of a friend who also made a dry garden. Before being renovated into a prayer room, the 2x2.5m room might have previously been a storage room because it was completely closed. The walls and doors were dismantled, the floor was raised about 15cm, this became a prayer room because there wasn't one in this house yet. To make it look spacious, the partitions were made manually from molded teak blocks so that the room still looks spacious but there is a clear boundary that separates the prayer room from the hallway.

We do not use interior design services. However, we are very considerate in filling the house. Like the kitchen, in the initial plan the kitchen was located at the back of the house, but we moved it into the house to create an open space concept. This bathroom is located under the stairs so the space is not too big. For inspiration I look at Pinterest, Instagram, magazines. From this platform, I got inspiration on how to mix and match colors and design my small bathroom. Honestly, I like green, which is one of the color elements that must be in my house. In building a Scandinavian themed house, I looked for inspiration through the Pinterest and Instagram applications. Starting from the facade design, main door, to bedroom makeover, we do not use the services of an architect.
For the facade, we chose a triangular roof design with high doors and windows to suit the size of the house's ceiling which is almost 4 meters high. Meanwhile, for the bedroom, we also did a self-makeover by ordering wall batten and choosing the paint ourselves without the help of an interior design expert. The advantage of designing without experts is that it is of course more budget-saving. But the minus is that the design doesn't come together as a unified theme, or it could be less neat.
