Initially, this room used a partition between the living room and kitchen, but it felt cramped, so we decided to change the layout, removing the partition between the living room and kitchen.
And according to our expectations, the room became more spacious, the kitchen area which was initially cramped, now we can make a kitchen set with a size of 2.40 plus a cupboard under the stairs.
The open space concept is indeed the key to making the space more spacious.

Our family room is the most frequently used area for gathering. Simple layout with 3 seater sofa, 1 rocking chair inherited from our great-grandfather, 1 bean bag, and custom Japandi style TV table. All combined with abstract gray patterned carpet.
Decorative elements and added comfort such as pillows with different motifs, iron shelves for displaying my husband's vintage collection, plant pots and also lamps as ambience for the afternoon and evening.
Another important item is a fan, because our concept does not use AC, this fan is very helpful to move the wind throughout the room.

Our home theme from the beginning is consistent with white & wood colors, slowly wanting to realize the concept of a Japandi house.

The journey to our dream home began when we decided to start a family. Because this is our first home built with years of work, we thought carefully about the layout and concept so that it was still within budget.
