This central area was originally empty. However, little by little, slowly this living room was created.
Because we wanted to maintain a spacious impression, we tried to work around this with a tatami concept living room. The tatami pillows are made from leftover foam/latex from the sofa bed. The table is a coffee table.
As a sweetener, we placed a mini aquarium on the table which became a vocal point and room decoration.

Dead corner? Don't give up 😁
When we saw this area, we told the architect that we didn't want any dead corners, aka unused areas - because our house is small, of course we want everything to be functional - we don't want to lose out 🤭 So we made this corner into a reading nook with the lure that even though it's small, this area has an extraordinary view, namely the sunlight that comes in from the skylight illuminating this house.
