This Terra Hauz measures 6x15m, making it included in the tiny house category, hihi. So, that's why when we first renovated this house, we deliberately created an open plan concept and knocked down the walls that previously existed, there used to be a barrier between the living room and the kitchen.
Apart from that, we deliberately chose a round dining table, even though it looks like a round table is bigger, with a round table we can freely add additional chairs on all sides.
When choosing furniture colors, we also prefer neutral colors, with lots of white accents. The goal is to make the room appear brighter and more spacious.
With the combination of concepts as I said above, currently we are quite satisfied to live here with 1 child. Children still have a large space to run around😁

Since this house was first occupied 2 years ago, many things have changed, especially the developer's house has many shortcomings hehe
As time passed, we began to fill this house with various unusual decorations and furniture. We want to create a cheerful atmosphere in the house with touches of various colors 🎨
There are various concepts that we use in each space. For example, our living room has a colorful midcentury modern concept. Then, the kitchen has a Japandi concept by maximizing limited space. Meanwhile, the bedroom has a Korean style concept.
The aim of these various concepts is so that the atmosphere of the house can continue to change, not be monotonous. Home for us is not just a place to live but also a space for the expression of our hearts 💫

#labeloftones is the name that I called to present my room's journey. As an architect and interior designer, I start to plan my room journey through sketches by measuring the details of the room from doors, windows, and the placement of socket points.
I have been interested in "Mid Century Design" since I was in college and became familiar with iconic designer furniture with bold colors but still had elements of wood so that the room felt warm but playful.
Start by adding contrasting colors from a selection of pillowcase colors that I found at IKEA, as well as some color accents from a collection of design books that I have to add small details from the colors of the book covers.

My room is 4x3 in size and I apply some of these tips to make it look more spacious and optimal, the method is:

The area of this apartment is only 33m2 with 2 rooms. It's so small that we can only use 1 room which is used for the living room and kitchen. No room for a dining table. Finally I thought about what if we made the extra table on the retractable kitchen set into a dining table. Just add multi-purpose folding chairs and finally we have a dining table in this small apartment. If the dining table is not used, we can put this folding chair behind the dispenser. This room measures 4 x 3.5 meters minus the bathroom measuring 1 x 1 meter. And here are tips to make a small room look more spacious.
• Because I'm still single, I use a 120 x 200 cm bed on the floor so it doesn't take up too much space.
• My study table used to be very big and heavy and finally I replaced it with a more minimalist table measuring 100 x 60.
• So that my things are neatly arranged, I like to use a trolley rack that is aesthetic and multifunctional. Like the 2 shelves that I use, there is a glass shelf for storing books or sometimes I use it as a nightstand and there is a clothes hanger shelf for putting clothes that I often use with 2 storage places where I usually put bags and some skincare.
• BTW, this room still has a clothes storage side, but it is still in the make over stage. Hopefully it can be finished soon and you can show me how to organize the cupboard in this not so big room, OK? ^_^

The way I get around a small room is to make a high ceiling, then make a mezzanine bedroom, where above you can put a mattress for sleeping, while below you can access the bathroom and storage, the room looks spacious and has lots of space.

To get around the small size of the bathroom, we painted the walls and ceiling of our bathroom white to make it look clean and more spacious. However, so that it didn't look plain, we combined it with the choice of terrazo patterned granite flooring and textured gray granite for the shower.

When building #chezlumiere, I designed this laundry area in such a small space. Only sized 1.8x1.8meters, this #tinyspace can fit a washing machine, shelves and house plant. I didn’t put too much decorations too make it look simple and more white colors so the room feels bigger ✨

One way to utilize the limited space in our small house is to use a large dining table.
Even though it measures 1x2 meters, we can use this table for various things, starting from: working during WFH, cooking during the day or night, playing puzzles or Uno Stack, even a place to chat when someone visits!
It's no surprise that this table has become the vocal point of our home.
