All the plants are still 6 months old here. So it's still short. 😁
The width of this facade is 12m, I'm really happy with the design which makes the house look wide. But unfortunately, when the time was right to build a basement or mezzanine, it would look higher.

TumbeHouse started from a plot of land that was bought impulsively within a week. One of the things that makes you doubt building a house from scratch is: "Isn't it embarrassing if you build a house from the ground but the results aren't cool?" That's why mitigating this doubt is to use the services of an architect.
As soon as I met Arrey Architect, it immediately clicked. It fits so well that there are almost no revisions. It's so good that it's forbidden to negotiate the price of services. Because that is a form of our appreciation for their expertise. Eh, but if it's a bonus, is that okay?
An extraordinary detail is the bonus provided by Arrey Architect. Which ultimately makes us save money! Save on building a house, save on not needing to hire a landscape architect (because the service covers plant types down to gravel), save on filling the house (up to the artwork only the architect can think of). Absolutely one of my best decisions.
TumbeHouse's facade is made to suit the situation and environment. Everything has a reason, including small arches made manually by contractors. The goal is to create a shadow to reduce heat.

Our house has a Tropical Modern / Modern Tropical concept.
Actually we didn't want to choose a particular concept for casaiccha, but because we like furniture and interior materials made of wood, we chose to say that our house has a Tropical Modern concept.
The wooden element brings coolness and warmth into the house. In addition, its durability is quite strong and can last for years. The dominant types of wood we use for the interior of casaiccha are teak and red meranti.

The stairs in my house are quite unique. The position is like outside the house. But it's intentional to make it feel like you've moved to another area.
There are pluses and minuses for sure. Plus it's open and the air circulation is really good.
The minus is, if the wind blows, the water will leak out.

If you ask me, the most aesthetic thing in my house is this hallway area 😊. We really like semi-outdoor concepts like this. So that we can access the outdoors, we use cast Terrazo flooring so that the floor is cool too. Then there is also a garden so it looks cooler and fresher ✨✨ When you open the main door, the stairs area is the first thing you see, so it is quite a vocal point in my house.

✨ The girls bedroom ✨
The color palette for my child's room is natural but a touch of pink. I also want my child's room to still have natural light, so this room has a large glass window to look down into the kitchen area and also into the back garden.

✨Resort inspired✨
My husband and I really like to spend time on holiday staying in a nice villa or resort. Prefer Gojek to the villa or eat at the resort rather than going out for culinary delights.
That's why when we built this house, that was the first concept. As much as possible, there is lots of open space and it's not stuffy. Even though the air is not as cool as Bandung, with good air circulation and lots of plants, the house becomes more beautiful and makes you feel at home.
Of course there are cons, having an open house model like this. But it's worth it ❤️

If you ask me, the kitchen is clean, right? 🤔The answer is, every day I cook here... It's just always neat and organized 😜. I always use the chairs on the Island for the kids to have breakfast or a quick snack like that...
So, you can add photo frames and flower vases to make this kitchen area warmer and more inviting.
To keep it tidy, make a cabinet to store spices and Tupperware. Because of course these 2 things always make the kitchen messy 😚.

One aspect of making you feel at home is a concept that has an outdoor feel. I really like this open space concept hall. Every evening after a day's activities, we as a family usually go upstairs and don't come down again. that's like saying we were staying at the villa and went back to the room. That feeling that is felt every day. It's like passing through the outdoor area first before getting to the room.
Yes, there are definitely pros and cons... but so far I'm still really pro with a hallway concept like this.

This is the view from the front of the main bedroom. There is a balcony with trembesi wood decking. Durable for use on balconies exposed to rain and direct sunlight.
For the open space stairs area, I used teak wood to make it stronger and more durable.
So far this condition is 5 years old but still ok.
