Pocket-friendly home decoration materials!
In this TV wall area, so that it doesn't feel cramped, we decided not to use interior design services because we wanted this area to be an entertainment area that can be decorated as we wish.
A budget-friendly solution for this TV wall area makeover is to use wall shelves. A floating teak wood TV table (140x40cm) custom made at our regular woodcraft shop which costs 900,000, above the TV is a shelf from Ace Hardware which is certainly cheap. Then the 3-tier shelf uses stainless steel brackets & poles. with shelf sizes of 60x20cm & 60x40cm to store decorative items & the widest shelf is intended for a vinyl player turntable if later there is fortune 😉
Then the mirror next to the TV is also custom made at the most affordable regular mirror maker in the Surakarta area. In the form of an Arch with a height of 165x70cm made of teak wood for only 550,000. when compared to other stores, both offline / online, the difference can be quite far ☺️
If the total cost of materials to decorate this area is still under 2 million, hopefully it inspires ✨ 📺🪞🪴

Hi, this is the TV room in our house. With a minimalist and industrial concept, we chose dark gray and wood elements.
And to create a warm atmosphere, we also use warm white lights and 3 spotlights.
If we want to be in a calm atmosphere, we turn off the spotlights as in slides 3 and 4.

This TV corner area does seem small, but I think it's perfect for a viewing room at home🩵 I actually prefer a more focused setup with minimal distractions (especially when watching serious or mystery dramas, you have to focus haha). Like on the main wall there's only a TV and a simple clock, so it's comfortable when watching, no other distracting views.
In addition, there are quite a few things to consider for this TV area: the size doesn't need to be too big, there's no light reflection when watching, especially during the day (so the viewing experience is maximized!!), and the distance between the sofa and the TV can't be too far because my eyes are nearsighted🥲🥲. For the lights, use ones that shine onto the wall for a warm & cozy ambiance, and I chose a sofa that has a section for stretching out, so watching is more comfortable.
I think the rest is enough, just find a decoration for the empty side wall so it's not too plain. Maybe a painting or other simple decoration.

The transformation of the TV area since the beginning of its existence until now. The changes are little by little, from the beginning it was plain with a WPC backdrop added and finally the ambalan was replaced with a more proper one.
