Hi, meet again with the Open Space kitchen & dining area at @first21.haus which is directly connected to our Living room. This time with a night vibes shot, this is the atmosphere of a cloudy and rainy night all day accompanying our evening activities. Because without a partition, the room feels more spacious for mobility to cook and eat at the dining table while watching a movie on TV. It is also freer to arrange the interior and decoration as you wish. And to make it even more spacious, there is a sliding door of aluminum glass with a wood motif that leads to the back garden, this really helps air circulation when cooking and cross ventilation from front to back. However, when it rains like this, we close the sliding door so that it doesn't splash in. Japandi Kitchen is known for its minimalist, clean kitchen, not many ornaments, including in storing kitchen equipment, it is tried to be hidden 😁 For cooking utensils, eating & drinking utensils, all go into the cabinet, here we still use an open cabinet area, for variety and we still use storage in this open area to make it look clean. Here we use plastic storage with wooden handles, to store cleaning tools and kitchen cleaning materials. Bamboo storage, to store cafe glasses or bowls that are rarely used. Iron basket with wooden handle, to store fruits and snacks. Small kitchen ✨ This kitchen doesn't have a kitchen set yet, but to make it more comfortable, we made a DIY makeover ourselves with a low budget using a PVC ceiling cabinet cover and we bought the upper cabinets online. For the top table, we used 60x60 cm granite in wood grain color and a white brick motif bevel backsplash. This is how I create a simple kitchen without a kitchen set but still neat: 1. I use a shelf under the kitchen to replace the function of a drawer 2. Cover it with cloth so that the appearance under the kitchen remains neat and aesthetic 3. The kitchen cabinet uses an iron shelf to maximize the volume of the cabinet to store plates, glasses, etc. 4. I hang the pans & teflon that take up space on a black iron hanger. So it doesn't take up space in the cabinet which has limited space. Previously in 2016 (slide 4), when we first moved into the house, the developer's built-in alley kitchen still used shelves that were again made by ourselves, aka DIY. The kitchen items and furnishings were still simple and many were brought from our parents' house. We did change the backsplash and granite to black, previously the developer's built-in orange color. After almost 5 years of living in the house, we added a kitchen set to make it tidier and have lots of storage. We chose black because our previous house style was monochrome.
