When we renovated our kitchen entirely by ourselves, from painting the cabinets to installing a backsplash, I envisioned an organic white ceramic backsplash with a subtle texture, creamy cabinets, and a touch of brass. (I ended up chosing a different type of tile.) I self-painted the cabinets with four coats of grain filler, two coats of primer, and the paint still looks strong after five years.

Before finding a place to hang artwork, I like to move them around the apartment for couple of days each. This week is the staircase. I do this until I feel like I’ve found the most apt place. I have also been enjoying putting tall lamps on my dining table. It makes the spacr more elongated in my opinion!
