Cafe-Inspired Home Work Area
As a freelance graphic designer & content creator, I really understand the importance of creating a comfortable work area. Both in terms of comfort for sitting for a long time in front of the laptop and the ambience of the surrounding room which can help me to express creative ideas while working.
It started as a habit when I was studying in Bandung, it was very difficult for me to concentrate when doing assignments in the boarding house. So the aesthetic Bandung cafes have become my most comfortable place to be creative. There is a cafe in Bandung that is a source of inspiration for me, namely Delicacies. It has a feminine design with contemporary artdeco ornaments that combine indoor plants. The interior of this cafe is my "dream wishlist" for home design.
Even though I'm now back on another hot planet (read: Bekasi), I want to bring back the "Bandung cafe vibe" in my room. So I renovated an empty room in the house which happened to be facing this garden. I designed the bedroom & work area with wide openings so that the room is brighter and has better air circulation.
This bedroom design has a focal point in the work area, so the work desk is placed facing the window. For my comfort when working, I use the IKEA JARVFJALLET chair. Apart from the ergonomic features of the work chair, the design of this chair has a minimalist shape and is white overall so it fits perfectly into my bedroom interior.
To store drawing equipment, digital tools, and A2 paper printouts, this multi-table Helsinki table from iFURNHOLIC is very helpful. Because I can organize a lot of my work items into one desk compartment. For additional storage, I added a wall shelf to store documents. To make it look aesthetic, I combined the shelf arrangement with design book covers and real plants to add freshness to the room.

Anti-fatigue at the work desk🌳🪴💖
I really like this work desk spot in my room! When I'm bored with work or doing art blocks, I like to stare at the leaves moving in the wind. It feels really calming!
So, to match the greenery outside, I also added real plants to my work desk! I don't just choose "aesthetic plants", but the plants in my room are recommendations from NASA which can filter the air and toxins in the room, you know!
FYI, the furniture and electronic items in our room emit toxins and radiation which can have an impact on our health🫣 So apart from being a decorative accent that beautifies the room, this plant also has a multitude of health benefits🪴✨

Play with pink in the bedroom💞
For this sleeping area, I dominated peach pink. The focal point of my bedroom is the headboard which I arranged in a curve to strengthen the art deco style.
Even though I love pink, I combine other colors too. Such as white, gold accents, and hemlock wood to make the color composition in the room more balanced.
