Good Afternoon O House Neighbors!
This is the family room or living room spot at #casadirio. Well, this family room is integrated with the garden patio next to our house. The actual size of our house is 12mx6m but we have a side yard of 30m2 which we can use for our patio, garage and warehouse.
Before deciding to buy this house, we consulted with our younger brother who works as a contractor for a company in Indonesia to renovate our house: changing the 30m2 side yard into a garden, mini patio, warehouse and garage.
We used the services of our younger contractor because he has experience in building facilities and infrastructure. For the patio design, Pakbojo helped find references that were suitable for our needs. We renovated the yard into a patio so we can use the patio to gather with our family and friends.
We also use the patio as our outdoor workplace if we get bored with the atmosphere of our indoor workspace. For the design, we adjusted the mood to the coffee shop exterior so that the vibe feels like that of a cafe. This is the decoration on our kitchen shelf. The theme of our house is more Japandi but with a bit of wabi sabi. The color tone of our house is a combination of cream, white, brown, gray and black.
So, for the wabi sabi theme, we tried DIY a white and chocolate vase with a rough texture and made it messy because it followed the wabi sabi theme itself (imperfection).
From the photo above, there are several items that we made DIY, such as: white and brown vases (large and small) and also textured art. Hopefully it will inspire you 😉

This is WIFU's work space. The theme we use is still Japandi with a minimalist touch. The color tones are also more like cream, gray, black and white.
Wifu's preference for work space design is more minimalist. There are not many items displayed on the table or in shortage.
We made the monitor stand above DIY from IKEA Lack White and Eket (this can be combined with other IKEA cupboard legs).

Before creating this corner, Mr. Bojo and I discussed that we would decorate this corner with a Japandi and Nordic theme.
The focal point of this corner is the shelves and decorative items which we adjusted to the Japandi and Nordic theme. Our tip is to choose colors that match the Japanese theme as much as possible, namely cream, white, black and grey. Today we want to discuss Pakbojo working space! The working space is quite different in theme from the Casadirio theme, namely Japandi.
However, Pakbojo designed his work desk to be in line with the Japanese theme, but did not abandon his desired working space style.
Because Pakbojo likes greenery, he puts a lot of plants on his work desk. Of course, look for plants that are easy to care for and are indoor types.
Then, for the colors, Pakbojo chose 4 colors as a reference so that they still look harmonious, namely green, orange, black and brown. As a result, starting from the keyboard, the decorations on the table, and also the plants chosen must be close to these colors.
He set up this work space to accommodate the use of laptops, PCs and also racing simulators. But this time I'll share the PC setup first. Pakbojo chose peripherals that can switch between laptop and PC on the fly, aka if he's bored working on the laptop and wants to play games on the PC, he just switches modes on the keyboard, mouse and monitor, without having to unplug the device. It's complicated, isn't it 🤪
Doi also doesn't forget to put away his favorite items and hobbies such as car steering wheels, old school cameras and also strange miniatures. (Yeah, I think it's strange 🥲 how about having a miniature toilet on his work desk). Luckily he only put a little here.
Indeed, Pakbojo's workspace design is a bit more eccentric than mine. "Because of that, Pakbojo designed 2 work desks according to each person's taste, so that the mood for work is maintained," he said. Hey.
