I don't regret making an open concept, especially for the kitchen and dining room areas.
The atmosphere feels warmer because the interaction with the family is more pronounced,

The good thing about an open space kitchen & dining room is that it is a set here and there, after cooking, you can serve food close by, and if you want to heat it up, you just turn around. The bad thing about an open space like this is that when there is smoke while frying, you can't help but feel the smells of it while eating/sitting at the dining table

Just cook something simple in our kitchen. The U-shaped kitchen layout is very suitable for us, the cooking area is wider. Are you interested in using a layout like this?
For styling, most use kitchen equipment. We deliberately chose kitchen equipment with a uniform design and color (Black & Wood touches) for kitchen decoration. So the function & aesthetic value is still obtained.

✨ Kitchen Cabinet Styling
Having an open kitchen cabinet can look aesthetic by making the cutlery the same color. This can be an interesting display decoration in the kitchen cabinet.
We use cutlery with a dominant white color with a little wood nuance. For the top cabinet decoration itself, we use a black nuance decoration typical of our house.

🌿 Kitchen + Dining Area
Our kitchen area measures 2x2m and is divided into 3 work areas.
- Cooking area on the left with a length of 2m. We place a stove and cabinet containing food ingredients & cooking utensils. Don't forget to place a spice rack to make cooking easier.
- Dish washing area in the middle. We place dish racks & shelves with frequently used dishwashing equipment.
- Dining area on the right with a length of 1.5m. Before we had a dining table, this was our dining area. This area is also an additional area for food preparation when cooking. Now this area functions more as a coffee table area, our snacking place.
By dividing the kitchen area like this, the kitchen function is maximized & according to our needs.
