Classic Facade by Teguh Architect Hello good evening all friends🫶🏻 I want to tell you a little about my home renovation journey during the pandemic (2021). Previously my house consisted of 1 floor with a minimalist facade theme which had been completely renovated in 2016 and had never been put in place. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, my family and I have mostly stayed at home, where I think a house with 1 floor is not enough for me and my family. The time has come when my first child can request his own room😁 Finally, my husband and I decided to renovate the house from one floor to 3 floors with the help and services of a professional architect by Teguh Architects. I chose to use the services of a professional architect to realize my dream design and maximize the land and space in the house. Thank God, the facade of my house is in accordance with my wishes and the shape is 99% similar to Mas Teguh's design. Our house is classified as a compact house with an open space concept. However, we have 2 areas, namely the public area and the private area. The most aesthetic and favorite part of this house is the divider between these two areas. Separating these two areas is a sliding glass door and is equipped with windows. Even though it is called a divider, it can still be seen between these areas. This living room combines minimalist natural elements with maximum function. A custom sofa was the focal point, but its original surface was quite rough and hard to sit on, making it uncomfortable. The solution? Adding a soft, natural-feeling sofa cushion. In addition to increasing seating comfort, this layer adds a new visual dimension that is warmer and more aesthetic—blending perfectly with the earthy color palette throughout the room. We also replaced the hard sofa cushions with new, softer and more comfortable sifa cushions. One place to spend time at home is the bed. The very comfortable bed layout is one of the reasons why this room is a favorite. Day and night we get good air circulation, because the bedroom is located next to an open garden. Even though there are not too many items in the bedroom, there are 3 decorative items that make you feel at home in this room for a long time, namely an air conditioner for cooling, a side table and a choice of bed sheets that make you comfortable when lying down. The facade of our house is very ordinary, because the concept of our house is a growing house so we don't really focus on the facade, it will change anyway. To beautify the family room, we added wall decor in the form of a picture measuring 140x100. With these decorative walls, our house becomes more lively and further emphasizes the style of this house, namely an industrial style house. Apart from being a decoration, this image is also useful for covering the MCB box on the wall. The living room in this house is the only place for us to gather. Because we want to create a calm living room with a monochromatic theme but still seem homely. The corner in this living room was originally an empty corner because there was a window. After we added a floor lamp and plants, it turned out to be able to fill the void. The room becomes more alive with spotlights and plants. The plant we use is the kebo rubber plant, not only does it beautify the room, but this kebo rubber has various benefits as an indoor plant. We got the floor lamp while touring the IKEA showroom, so we thought about buying it and applying it to a corner of the house because the price was quite affordable compared to other floor lamps, namely Rp. 649,000, while we chose the plants based on online neighbors' recommendations. Because the theme of our house is monochrome, this kebo rubber color is considered suitable for our house. Kebo rubber can be found at plant sellers or in the marketplace with a price range of IDR 40,000. With a budget of less than 1 million, we can style a living room corner that can be called fancy. One thing that must be ensured is the suitability of the items used with the theme and color of the house and according to the existing budget. We chose this house based on our tastes and desires. We bought it from the developer with a free design concept. So the developer just develops all the materials and designs that we determine. However, as time goes by and needs arise, there are some designs that are actually not quite right, for example, the distance between the living room and kitchen is very little, almost no distance. But we got around this by making a kitchen island, so there is a little separation between the living room and the kitchen.
